The Neuro Sciences again

Thoma points us to research theory connecting the brain and economics

The thing to look for are the coincidence detectors neurons. Get accurate electropotential measurements if possible, or else get the rats. Coincidence detectors perform the entropy encoding. They match an input spike train with an action spike train, allowing the encoding of prepared action, held in abeyance until the trigger.

Really, its all spike trains, mostly, a pulse frequency tuned system. We are tuned in to regular, repeatable events. Learned actions are muscle moving spike trains that are held in abeyance until needed. The result is a coding for expected events from some finite set if repeatable environmental events.

Consider the Beaver economy. The slapping of the tail is an entropy detection, a detection of a lower entropy event in the market for Beaver Dam construction materials. That slapping of the tail causes Beavers down the line to start a production process.
