One day a week is sufficient

Senator Tom Carper’s (D-DE) “long-standing opposition to the U.S. Postal Service going to five-day delivery appears to be softening with the fiscal realities facing the Post Offices,” the News Journal reports.
Why is some guy from Delaware's 1 Congressional district determining the rules for mail delivery across the other 434 districts? A better idea, let's just abolish the state of Delaware and have the mail delivered one day a week.
