There is no intelligent design among Republican voters

In 2001, Santorum tried unsuccessfully to insert into the No Child Left Behind bill language, which came to be known as the "Santorum Amendment" that sought to promote the teaching of intelligent design while questioning the academic standing of evolution in public schools.Wiki

Republican voters have become just another socialist group who couldn't find their goodies in the Democratic pile. Whenever their goodies are threatened, Republican voters resort to making the Constitution a bible. It is either 'Gemme my goodies or I will write the Book Of Santorum (Perry, Bachmann) into the Constitution.

All of this nuttiness arises because there is no entity called the 'vote'. The vote varies by an order of magnitude across the state boundaries. Pollsters, dumb as shit, dunno how to get good samples as a result. Politicians use the skew to lie and economists choose to ignore the problem because dictatorship makes their math easier.
