Nothing new. The Japanese devalued the yen, oil prices soured in Japan, and they will achieve the next level of energy efficiency. The cost of debt will rise, so the Japanese worker will owe mom a gazillion more. But mom lives in the spare bedroom and turns her pension back to the household.

The gain is in what Japan always is, the most energy efficient of all the OEDC economies.

Texas, say it isn't so

Texas, Houston and municipalities have a greater debt problem than California municipalities. Well, I guess building sports stadiums on taxpayer funded bonds is a stupid idea. Once again, the Republican Communist Party strikes, in the lone star state of all places.

The gold standard and FDR

Why did nations do better after leaving the gold standard?

Simple, the telephone and fax. Paper commitments became enforceable and immediate.

Pelosi wants to know why black thugs terrorize black families

She is starting her racial pandering gig. Her first problem is explaining why blacks commit six times the crime as whites, according to the Hill. Ok,Nancy, sweetheart, lets start. Use Obamas simile:  Why do boys, who look just like his son might look, terrorize black children?

I can hardly wait to hear from our sweet jim crow politician and racial panderer.

Cursor movement on an android

Not too good.

CBO reports the employer mandate delay will cost 12 billion. Not to worry,  the young and healthy will pick up the tab.

Christie accuses Rand Paul of welfarism.

Says to Rand, "Your state is sucking more federal dollars than my state"

True, Kentucky is a net gainer in federal spending, New Jersey a net loser. My stats, on the link called "states" on the right side of this blog has NJ losing 39 cents on the dollar and KT gaining 51 cents. I wonder if someone reads my posts?  Cal dems fear the day when the hispanic plurality discovers they lose 25 cents of every dollar in federal programs they vote for.

Rand responds by pointing to Kentucky's role in hosting military bases. It ain't welfare! Its the fault of the Republican communist party.

Latest word from Rand, he wants to kiss and make up. Afterall, what libertarian wants to be tagged as a communist agent from the Republican party.

Central bankers, back to beggar thy neighbor

Global Benspeak, is the condition in which each bank governor says the same:

Policy will be accommodative for the foreseeable future. Japan, then the USA. Each in turn trying to weaken the utility of their currencies and make bailout money available to cover continuing losses in government programs. Yet this is all happening in a global economy of declining trade. The first likely causing the second.

More severe deflation on the way

That is the story I hear, mainly driven by commodity slump, in turn driven by Chinese investment bubble collapse.  Wow, that would through the global economy into a tizzy (technical term)

tablets suck without a keyboard

I often spend two minutes to move the cursor and correct a spelling error. The fat finger and the intelligent android cursor management combine to create something close to chaos on the screen. I pity the youngsters who grow up thinking a computer is this herky-jerky thing that goes crazy it you tap on it.

Must get chromebook with keyboard.

In which I define the new libertarianism

The current view of libertarianism has the judiciary protecting individual rights from state threats. I say no. Libertarianism requires sufficient legislative democracy to suppress oligarchs.

She is not even ashamed.

Eric Holder spent government money on facilitating Zimmerman protests

Did the Department of Justice help generate protests in Florida over the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman case? Or did their Community Relations Service unit attempt to moderate their tone? Judicial Watch discovered that the CRS spent some time and money participating in the protests in the spring of 2012, thanks to a trove of documents from a wide-ranging FOIA request: JW filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requested with the DOJ on April 24, 2012; 125 pages were received on May 30, 2012. JW administratively appealed the request on June 5, 2012, and received 222 pages more on March 6, 2013. According to the documents: March 25 – 27, 2012, CRS spent $674.14 upon being “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.” March 25 – 28, 2012, CRS spent $1,142.84 “in Sanford, FL to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain. March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent $892.55 in Sanford, FL “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida.” March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent an additional $751.60 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.” April 3 – 12, 2012, CRS spent $1,307.40 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations planned in Sanford.” April 11-12, 2012, CRS spent $552.35 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.” – expenses for employees to travel, eat, sleep? Judicial Watch
We are getting real close to Jefferson Davis style racism in the Department of Justice. Notice, no protest from the Jim Crow party of the ages, the Undemocrats.

Eric Holder: Jim Crow Jackass

Judge allows jury to consider manslaughter in Zimmerman case Read more:
Do the background on this case. No probable cause, the only reason this case is moving forward is because Eric Holder insists on the racial persecution of white folk. The Undemocratic Party, 200 years of racism, they are a lost cause.

Egypt gone bananas

According to reports. Egypt, where African country boys get indoctrinated with bizarre religious ideas. The idea, evidently, is that the way out of Africa is to join some strange religious group, Egypt has become the assembly area. It works, that is how we got Episcopalians.

Hillary's new middle east allies

As TheBlaze reported last week, [Francois] Murad, 49, was setting up a monastery in Gassanieh, northern Syria. Last Sunday, on the Christian leader’s Sabbath, extremist militants trying to topple President Bashar Assad breached the monastery and grabbed Murad… The Catholic news service quotes local sources who report that the radical Al-Qaeda-linked Jabhat al-Nusra, or Al-Nusra Front, was behind the savage killing. In video posted by Live Leak purporting to show the execution, dozens of men and boys are seen cheering on as three men are seated on the ground awaiting their grisly fate. The men are methodically beheaded one at a time by men holding what appears to be a simple kitchen knife after which the heads are placed on top of the bodies. Link here.
Yes, Hillary is a bit of an idiot.

American Middle Class, taking the hit

So, we see that productivity gains to not generate more income for the middle class. The issue is why. Some clues. This all started around 1975. It seems to have reversed under the Bill Clinton regime, but got a whole lot worse under the Obama regime. Any guesses?
