Fresno Bee gets a tiny clue

Valley officials visiting D.C. struggle to get lawmakers' attention
WASHINGTON — San Joaquin Valley officials are struggling this week to enlist the attention of lawmakers consumed with Syria and other Capitol Hill concerns. The officials from eight valley counties want serious road and rail dollars. They seek help cleaning up smog. They have, for the moment, put aside rivalries in hopes of selling a unified agenda to a distracted and debt-ridden Congress. “It’s helpful because we come as the San Joaquin Valley as a whole, so it gives us more political clout than if we were just lobbying for our individual counties,” Tulare County Supervisor Allen Ishida said Wednesday.
This is where kindergarten teaching comes in. These Valley officials did not go to DC when DC needed their help in sorting out budget issues. No, they were in the valley telling everyone that DC gives out free goodies. Valley officials are stuck in the Orwellian world, they know nothing about what goes on in DC except what delusional Undemocratic Party leaders tell them. Then when they go back, as lobbyists, not legislatures, they find a completely different world. Now, take that problem and multiply by NCLB, transit, water, pansions or any of the major clashes between DC and CA. All of them caused by the lack of a fair representation in the Senate. Valley officials are, in general, dumber than shit. But when you add the Orwellian nonsense from CA political party, then you have a California disaster.
