The monetary banker as a forensic accountant

The simplest math for the monetary banker, the most elemental operation that captures the monetary function. Nick Rose had it, with the red/green chips; each chip represents aflor, direction by color.  The monetary function is one of finding conspiracies  among the red and gree bets, member bank conspiracies are not entropy maximizing.  Like an adaptive Huffman encoder, the discovery of the correlated bets causes the encoding tree to rebalance some nodes; the pre-published monetary 'float' has been exceeded somewhere; a conspiracy discovered; rates and terms thus set, in the immediate past; inside info becoming outside info. And, on the margin, the member banks, descending from the changed node, will see a slight adjustment to their red and green chips, currency risk is marked to market.
