Molten lithium and co2

There is a reaction between co2 and molten lithium, like a bessemer process kinda.  But it strips a ratio of the C from the O2 and must leave a crusty lithium/carbon rock thing when cooled, I suppose.  (I vaguely remember chemistry).

So, go solar to molten lithium and flow the co2.  Grind up the rock and get out the carbon powder.
