Lizard mode and sleeping

The Thermoregulation Process. Thermoregulation is the process of regulating body temperature, which is a major part of homeostasis. Snakes and other ectotherms are cold-blooded animals that lack the ability to generate body heat internally.

Sleeping is likely a regression to the more primitive form of homeostasis.  Mammals find a warm spot and rest their internal homeostasis engine, go lizard.   Sleepy is the normal lizard state.

Dreams are lizard thoughts.
