Hurricanes cost 1.5% of GDP

Natural disasters cost U.S. a record $306 billion last year.

WASHINGTON -- With three devastating hurricanes, extreme wildfires, hail, flooding, tornadoes and drought, the United States tallied a record high bill last year for weather-related disasters: $306 billion.
I was a bit optimistic, as others were.  This means we will likely take a half point hit from  on Q1, a quarter point more that folks expected. A lot of stuff is happening in Q1, especially the budget.  What will Congress come up with their 50 billion due this quarter?
