If its not priced, it is not productive

Tim finds that advertising dollars remain about constant as we moved from print to web. If productivity were higher, advertisers would spend more dollars.

Tim hints at the problem. One ad hits tens times as many viewers by is 1/10 as effective.  That is because the web is not micropriced, it it were, the ads would be more effective.
