Instapundit knows the gun crazies, he grew up around them. So, he wants government militia everywhere, he is ultimately socialist, full magic walrus. Growing up around NRA nuts means mixing with the dangerous, male hysterics, the two groups overlap.
Regulate the private militia, rather than hire myriads of government cops. The NRA is the unregulated militia, they are the main cause of unregulated crazies shooting at crowds of Tea Party Welfare bums.
