Singapore airline does it right on frequent flyer. We will franchise the operation globally, like soft forking a bit for each new member. Stats enforced by contract, each airline allows ten percent price on seats. The coin trades as any other bearer cash.
The airlines participating become central bankers on the coin. But they generally like larger bounds on currency risk, as they control real delivery.
I expect this business will move way forward from now on. Singapore Airlines owes me a check.
