We don't have much choice in these matters, since the collective voter has always wanted his side to get more do-re-me. Hence, us voters have given implicit approval to massive deficits, and I am not sure the millennials get the problem. Look at France if you want to see debt repudiation in real time.
Presidents cannot get the budget in line, neither can Congress; they are trapped. None of us plan on paying those interest charges, neither the wealthy nor boomers. The millennials are the last folks still in line, god forbid they discover the problem.
