Farmers sue the oil companies

The update follows a heatwave and minimal rainfall across the UK and Europe thoughout summer 2018, which scientists concluded was made twice as likely to occur by human-caused climate change. The situation led to spikes in crop prices, low water supplies, and wildfires across Europe.Recent heavy rainfall across Cumbria has boosted water resources in the region for some United Utilities reservoirs, the NDG said, but there remains continuing localised drought risk in some areas of the Pennines, Yorkshire, Manchester, Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent, and parts of central England.

We have some numbers.

UK Farmers vs Big Oil.  Will farmers be exempt from using co2 guzzling tractors?  No, in fact they will likely have to cover more payouts than pay ins. Farmers are the ones doing cow farts.

But, it doesn't matter for this case, it is decided on evidence of damages to one party via public nuisance, from another party.   It is the tort law, and if farmers of the next year complain about paying cow fart fees, so be it.
