I judge this effort relative to my plan, to wit:
- Break up XWindows using direct rendering on the client side.
- Break out the controllers and keyboards to a separate IO manager.
- API all the modules using Snippets with universal interface in 64 bits
- Then start with Linux kernel and add just the stuff to your configuration for the game at hand, a reconfigurable architecture.
Most of the code to start is on the right of this blog. Anyway, think Google for helping us get this done.
