Ankara's position is strong for a three way deal

Turkey’s Syria invasion rapidly backfiring for Ankara amid unexpected international condemnation

Erdogan has to devalue the stupid idea of removing Assad. Blame that on Hillary.

Otherwise, he can get a fair three way deal, with Putin in the middle. Everyone is better off if we find a better deal to for the refugees in Turkey. The sooner the better. Assad gets to kteep his borders, the Kurds avoid a bloody fight, and the migrants get some space. Turkey does not ge territorial expansion, Kurds do not get as much autonomy. Assad does not get as much power. As for the million or so dead, it is just 'never mind', that is the cost of evolution.
