I do not see how this helps Iran. The folks Iranian militia are shooting are not Iranians enemies, they are natural allies. The protests were not much worse than protests in Iran, not that big of a deal. Now Iran is caught shooting its allies while an ISIS resurgence is being fired up by Erdogan. Someone in charge in Iran is clueless, likely that religious nut.
