Red and blue discovered to be different colors

Male and female brains wired differently, scans reveal. 

It was simple research.  

Women do not throw 90 MPH curve balls because they do not, in general, spend their youth training their throwing arms for hours a day.  There is more nurture in that cortex then we commonly assume.
