The mayor of San Diego signed off on an $11 million plan to use taxpayer funds to fund tents, trailers and other facilities to support the city’s homeless population. Mayor Kevin Faulconer, a Republican, gave his OK last week to a City Council-approved contract to fund three “bridge shelters” for the homeless and a facility for people to store their belongings through June 2020, Fox News reported on Monday.
