The face of terrorism

They make the terrorists dress like nuns. So, just watch out for folks with a rag on their head,

Believing in fairy tales makes us paranoid

After Paris and California attacks, U.S. Muslims feel intense backlash
Rabia Chaudry kept her 7-year-old daughter home from her private Islamic school in Maryland on Thursday, fearing anti-Muslim backlash from Wednesday’s massacre nearly 3,000 miles away in San Bernardino, Calif. “I think we are all feeling exhausted and very vulnerable,” said Chaudry, a lawyer and national security fellow at the New America Foundation. “I’m angry at those people who did this attack. And I’m angry at how this is being politicized. Everything boils down to, ‘We should fear Muslims. And they shouldn’t be here.’ ” American Muslims say they are living through an intensely painful moment and feel growing anti-Muslim sentiment after the recent Islamic State attacks in Paris and this week’s San Bernardino shootings, carried out by a Muslim husband and wife.
Well you freaks who believe in  ghosts and goblins, you are nutty, you suffer a mental deficiency.  Yes, people think devout muslims are weird, they are, they are as bzonkers as Kanosians.

One year treasuries yield a half point

Here one can see Treasury rates. The one year has been persistent i  staying above .4 recently, and a half point is Yellen's target on the IOER.

Something in Mecca

This shooting, like the shooting at the military facility, are regular devout islamics working everyday, government, jobs. The usual warrier jihadi is some dumb, pornographic kid.  The workplace islamic belt bombers have a combined pathology, they are devout mohameds and gon postal. There is a virulent strain of the mohamuds coming from Saudi Arabia, it takes angry devouts and feeds them  the duty to allah crap.

The special forces need to infiltrate the Arabian religious psychos, find this preacher and knife him.

Tax deal swelling into $800 billion blowout

Congress is eyeing a year-end budget-busting tax cut blowout.
Lawmakers’ latest effort to renew a hodgepodge of temporary tax breaks is swelling into a catch-all measure that could cost more than $800 billion over 10 years. The money would go for everything from extending generous write-offs for business investments to renewing tax credits for poor families to repealing or delaying Obamacare’s much-loathed Cadillac tax. All of it would be unpaid for, which is giving budget hawks nightmares.

Our recessions, planned, right in front of us with our agreement.  And, for whatever reason, the very economists who plan these recessions have no clue about the cause of business cycles..

"They train for active shooter emergencies"

The Inland Regional Center, where the mass shooting happened.  Their clients are expected to get angry and engage in mass shootings, so they train for it. Sounds like a hazardous work environment.

Mixing tennis and basket ball

Wiki: Federer also credits the range of sports he played as a child—he also played badminton and basketball—for his hand-eye coordination.

Roger, maybe the best tennis player ever, mixes basketball and tennis. We see this mix when Roger takes a passing lob and reverse slams it from a jump position.  Sometim es I think he was a golfer at one time.

Where else have we heard basketball mixed with other  play?  Used to be the talk of the town when Bill Walsh coached Joe for the 49ers.  The new kind of football, the west coast offense.  It was always compared to basketball.

What it is all about? The short game with quick reverse motion and  mis-direction.  Magic Johnson perfected it for basketball.  Why this sudden appearance? Is it sudden? Is this about new conditioning technology? Or this just about Magic Johnson moving sports?

CEOs are Pollyannish*

From WSJ, this is the economic outlook for our CEO class.  Below 50 means they expect recession next year. What was their last reading before the crash? 78, they thought times were great.  Now they are just a bit more sanguine, but still foolish optimists.

*Pollyanna comes from a book and movie, look it up.

Look what Zero Hedge discovered

The total debt outstanding after the debt limit was increased.

We in initially thought a mere 350 billion had accumulated, but no, over the month of November Jack Lew at treasury was busy monetizing some $670 billion in accumulated deficit.

How long was ther debt limit in effect?

WSJ: The Treasury Department bumped up against the debt limit in March but has used emergency cash-management measures since then to avoid breaching it. So

Congress is likely covering up the real deficit, closer to $700 billion than the 480 billion value stated.  federal reserve subsidies, internal borrowing from trust funds, and delayed or time shifted contractor payments let Congress hide its real debt until the presidential election.  Then Congress has to pay up so rates rise, inflation rises and we get a recession.

Congress forcing the Fed to collect transaction fees

MarketWatch: The bill would be partly financed by use of Federal Reserve surplus funds, as well as a cut in the dividends that commercial banks that own the Fed receive. It does not raise the 18.4-cents-a-gallon federal gasoline tax.
The American Bankers Association ripped the dividend cut, which would be applied only to banks with more than $10 billion in assets.
“Banks shouldn’t be used like an E-ZPass to pay for highways,” said Rob Nichols of the ABA. “Dramatically reducing the dividend rate — without hearings, consultation with committees of jurisdiction, study or analysis of any kind whatsoever — is extremely bad public policy,” said Nichols, the group’s president.
The bill would also let the U.S. take away passports from Americans who owe the Internal Revenue Service more than $50,000 in taxes.
Cut to the chase.

The key passage is the part about DC po;iticans raiding the Fed's capital account.  Bernanke talked about this.   That capital account is simply a buffer used to smooth the flow of interest rate subsidies Congress gets.  Why does Congress get interest rate subsidies?  Because Congress can no longer afford the rental cost of ink and paper, so the Fed is acting as a fee collector, making the debt cartel pay more of the transaction costs..

Technology has reduced the transaction costs of counting stuff.  Get on the web, do a earch, the search engine gives an accurate coun t of stuff.  Automate the search words, encrypt them, add a probability measure called price, and do all that in the secure SmartCard.
