Picking death periods

What I finally settled on as an indicator was the 7-day average death rate, using this data.
Kling looking at the measure of fear.

If we start with 3-day death rates then we are fairly contracted, our items per basker has shrunk while we hide in our homes.  Then we know a bit more and go with 7-day rates.

Time to shop a basket of goods is a reasonable first order estimate.  We cut back our basket until the loss aversion is not perceptible.  Just like those physicists cooling down the hydrogen atom to measure wobble.

That was also Trump's foreign policy.

Jared got a hotel out of it, I think.

But I digress. We really did switch sides as a result of some neocon nuts, Jared, Bolton and Pompous, I think. Along with the Ghost and Goblin crowd.  Just about everyone over there is now our enemy, and we have 8k GIs stranded, surrounded by 2 million of Jared's new armed  enemies.. Move the GIs to hotels in Saudi Arabia and buy some oil. Jared, Bolton and Pompous Ass got this in the wrong order, they are dim bulb. They are Godotists.

I grant that Hillary was lousy at this also, this is not to be construed as any endorsement of Biden, he will foul this up. go home, or hide out in Arabia.

Long range drones?

Mysterious Explosion Reported In Northern Tehran

I would be surprised if Israel escalated the drone wars, but someone may be. I expect the drone technology has advanced a generation over the last five years.

Israel may be up against an existential threat and done this.  But, only as a last resort since Israel has the most to lose from long range drones.   As far as bombing Hezbollah, well, just from what Hezbollah has done to Lebanon, they deserve it.

If this is a Trump idea, then be sure he will be in a bunker for a long time to come, as all our presidents will be.

Mostly corect

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court. He was joined by fellow conservative Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. The court’s four Democratic appointees dissented.
Roberts wrote that a decision by the Montana Supreme Court to invalidate a scholarship program on the basis that it would provide funding to religious schools in addition to secular schools “bars religious schools from public benefits solely because of the religious character of the schools.” …
Shortly after the program was enacted, the Montana Department of Revenue put in place a rule that barred scholarship recipients from using funds from the program to pay for religious schools.
That rule was intended to comply with a provision of the Montana Constitution, which forbids “any direct or indirect appropriation or payment from any public fund or monies … for any sectarian purpose,” including “to aid any church, school, academy, seminary, college, university, or other literary or scientific institution.”
Similar prohibitions, known as Blaine Amendments, exist in the constitutions of 36 other states, and in many cases stemmed from anti-Catholic sentiments.
Forget the history of these Blaine amendments for a moment, let us read the mendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
First, it is the very first right listed, that means something.

Second, why would states make funding restrictions on religious institutions but not Redneck U? Why is Redneck U better than Notre Dame? We have a string of Franciscan founded universities, among the world's top. Aren't they religious, and who is to say? Our little Puerto Rican affirmative action justice likely does not even know these Franciscan universities are part of her heritage.

The minority view would keep the historical restrictions on Notre Dame.   Governments cannot do this, boneheads, and if you let these pass then you get a shit load of Due Process jamming the courts.

Get a friggen clue, both sides, this is about making things clear so both bonehead sides do not always get their favorite programs stuck in appellate court. We do not need contract complexity to avoid the Citizens United farce, we do not need Thomas and his neocon fans, we do not need Sotomayor and 'Make shit up'. And we especially do not need National Review and the Ghost and Golblins crowd. All of that crap just jams the appellate courts with confusion.  We are dealing with dim bulbs in the judiciary, quit exciting them.

Dave Roberts has some perfect horse manure from VOX

A new select committee report is perfectly in tune with the growing climate-policy alignment on the left around standards, investments, and justice.

He starts with the exceptions, people on the left who need justice. This is a class release3 from climate taxes, same shit.
Look at the list:

So, how can the US move toward net-zero? Here are the 12 pillars:
  1. Invest in infrastructure to build a just, equitable, and resilient clean energy economy.
[ Equitable means the specially selected get inflation protection from the pain of carbon taxes]
  1. Drive innovation and deployment of clean energy and deep decarbonization technologies.
[Basic research, I am OK with this]
  1. Transform US industry and expand domestic manufacturing of clean energy and zero-emission technologies.
[ Create another class of inflation adjusted regulators]
  1. Break down barriers for clean energy technologies.
  1. Invest in America’s workers and build a fairer economy.
[Straight out, screw climate issues lets get inflation protections for our pals]
  1. Invest in disproportionately exposed communities to cut pollution and advance environmental justice.
[More stuff for his pals]
  1. Improve public health and manage climate risks to health infrastructure.
[Public health is completely unrelated]

It is why I didn't have to read it, I already knew they were faking it.

It is not that these idiots perform the usual piling on, they  should have already been educated that this will not work. Go ask Kevin Drum, even he figured out the scam.   At least be smart about cheating, we are not that dumb, especially those who really want it solved without the usual exceptions.

Dave is useless, he and most of the other so called 'Green Dealers' all have less to do with carbon and more to do with protecting their priors.  Bonehead economists who attempt this crap have been called out every time.

Supreme Court Hands Down Another Party Line Decision

Can Congress create a permanent investigative body? I would say yes, but they need the executive branch to administer penalties.

So you give the president that power to penalize but restrict his ability to manage?  There is a separation issue, Constitutional law is simple once you get the frame of mind. This should not even be party, this is plain language in the most basic structure of the Law.

If Kevin Drum had his way the federal law system would jam with who can or cannot get fired and when.  Labor law would break down, chaos ensue, possible black hole. Connect the dots on this our court is dim bulb to begin with.

This was originally legal trickery by Liz, she knew it at the time.  Has a lot in common with the law suit to stop the gas pipeline from crossing the Appalachian trail, or even Citizen's United.  In all cases it is some legal scam, sometimes with inside support, of folks who want to skirt the legislature. It has reached its limit, federal courts are jammed to the brim with all variations of the make shit up laws.

At this point, most organizations ignore the law as long as possible, a lawless regime caused by legal trickery among the  dim bulbs.

The future generation is here, and the central bank is taxing them

Why deficits matter as much as ever
During normal times, most people grasp what economists call “opportunity cost.” If the government spends money, someone will eventually have to pay the price through higher taxes. During deep recessions, however, there is sometimes a mistaken perception that the old rules no longer apply, and that money can be freely spent without imposing a burden on future generations. Let’s not fall into that trap.

It is certainly true that in periods such as the Great Depression, the Great Recession and, yes, today, the cost of government borrowing is much lower than usual — even close to zero. But these debts will persist, and when interest rates eventually increase, the burden on future taxpayers will also begin to rise.
Too late. I do not think we have had normal years since 1999. Now we got antificants.

The weekly farce

White House threatens veto on Democrats $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan

Fine structure, part 7

I suggested the fine srcture was related to the maximum entropy point by representing the modes of kinetic energy.

Define the kinetic energy as the relative change in mass of the system.  There is some variation in N, a fuzzy constant. Vacuum leaves and enters the system.  Then if we know the maximum entropy point as an integer, under quant rules, then we should also know that residual error in that point relative to perfect irrationality.

And, there should be a connection between that varying N and Planck. And the spread of the residual N should determine any symmetry around that spectral peak. This should be about a rotation around the Markov tree.

What am I noticing?

A bunch of prime numbers show up in the seemingly proper relationship to get all out physical constants.  But we would have expected that anyway as physicists reduced the problem. There are only so many small primes needed. The game got reversed, it became a game of reducing the outcome of physics to the fewest combinatorials.

But that is not all true. We connect the dots here when we consider the fuzzy distribution of N.   Then total energy makes us account for that, kinetic energy., and it must be undersampled operator in the next energy level. It makes some sense, and it connects all the physical constants to the integer. But it only rhymes with the atomic orbitals. The largest integer is the total integer count across all the energy levels, ignoring kinetic energy.

If you are measuring proton wobble then you are forcing the system to enter that next orbital.    And the ratio will always come out with that next  (1,x,y) tuple above as you are measuring on the soin axis. But the numbers fit, it was done right. I think the physicists managed a square root in correcting for their instrument. The interpretation needs a change. What is the momentum effect between electron and proton when nudged by the minimal force. They could cool and tune until they have just filled the next level, instrument and proton. Perfect, they adjusted for the variation in N.

So fine structure is a flat surface resolution.  It is actually the hemisphere surface, the Lie grid.  Hence Pi appears due to Euclidean mapping. A neat trick because it is essentially log grid, tuned to the 3D.  thus it automatically goes from sample space to Bayesian space.

{\displaystyle \alpha ={\frac {1}{4\pi \varepsilon _{0}}}{\frac {e^{2}}{\hbar c}}={\frac {\mu _{0}}{4\pi }}{\frac {e^{2}c}{\hbar }}={\frac {k_{\text{e}}e^{2}}{\hbar c}}={\frac {e^{2}}{2\varepsilon _{0}ch}}={\frac {c\mu _{0}}{2R_{\text{K}}}}={\frac {e^{2}Z_{0}}{2h}}={\frac {e^{2}Z_{0}}{4\pi \hbar }}}

This definition givers 1/137.  Break it up and I get:

The number pf planks that fit into a number of charges, broken up into 137 slices of the Lie pie. Area matching to flat surface. The c along with epsilon are the selected scale of path length to rectangular length. My simplification might be to let light equal two, then select a denominator that suits.

The physicists are very good at just filling up he next energy level. They do so by counting up Planks that fit into a sphere with the proper coulomb count.  They can tell when those tow counts are as good as possible getting the 137.  And that flattens out to a Lie log paper.

The inequality

It is mostly about unfair central banking, the ability to apply the emergency tax.

From any Constitution point that looks a lot like taxation without representation, legislatures are not uniform but are representative samples. Legislation is an over the counter pricing market, extremely distorted. It cannot be flat earthed.

We we know legislators well enough to improve them a bit, and we have improved the taxation process in that past. We just need more dot connecting and less Godoting. Do the partition, find the congestion, install the pit. You get more sustainable partitions, raise economies of scale one notch.

This is the scary part of covid

Many COVID Patients Have Terrifying Delirium

That is high temperature, brain swelling, and a long lasting effect, like a severe concussion.  This is why I jumped on PJ media, and the Paul doctors. Tissue death in the brain is called brain damgae, it will show up in your life for a long time.

The second guarantee in a list of individual rights and guarantees. The Seattle police chief has it right.

The autonomous zone has a very irregular police force, more like anarchy with weapons. Half of them want regulated, but cannot afford the private version like the Minneapolis City Council.

I suggest a compromise. Make the local precinct captain be the Police Chief for the locals, separate but equal. Voted into office. Try smaller sized government units. It may fail, but it is the next experiment in the sequence.

Building roads, before, during and after

Everyone knew we were headed for congestion apocalypse..

Bulldozers taking the lead against  cars being increasingly congested via broadcast radio. Towns needed parking structure, major arteries, all that transportation stuff for cars. It was a well known problem. The stats bear me out, I looked once.

The GD was  the typical human upheaval, a change in epochs when communication technology takes a leap. It has happened all through human development, since the ice people introduced sedentary living to the Middle East.  Started with hieroglyphs, never really stopped.

Sandbox is the new epoch today, it is all around us, infiltrating commerce. It is a continual pattern matching process, nothing will be more efficient and it is handheld, and cheap and autonomous, loyal, counterfeit proofed, and contract proofed.. Auto pricing pits as needed.

Ron Paul, a bit nutty

For months, the Washington Post and the rest of the mainstream media kept a morbid Covid-19 “death count” on their front pages and at the top of their news broadcasts. The coronavirus outbreak was all about the number of dead. The narrative was intended to boost governors like Cuomo in New York and Whitmer in Michigan, who turned their states authoritarian under the false notion that destroying people’s jobs, freedom, and lives would somehow keep a virus from doing what viruses always do: spread through a population until eventually losing strength and dying out.
The “death count” was always the headline.

But then all of a sudden early in June the mainstream media did a George Orwell and lectured us that it is all about “cases” and has always been all about “cases.” Death, and especially infection fatality rate, were irrelevant. Why? Because from the peak in April, deaths had decreased by 90 percent and were continuing to crash. That was not terrifying enough so the media pretended this good news did not exist.

With massive increases in testing, the “case” numbers climbed. This is not rocket science: the more people you test the more “cases” you discover.
This was a Black Swan, the media was conspiring just as badly as Ron Paul does, ignorance prevailed.

The idea of relating testing to incidence is not rocket science and there are simple controls to break out most of the various effects. Ron Paul can stick to babies, his son can stick to eye balls, and the immunologists and mathematicians can handle the covid.

PJ Media is a bit of horse manure:
Why not [any higher death rates]?

According to Justin Hart, an information architect and data analyst from San Diego, “who” gets the virus is just as important as “how many” get the virus. “Right now the average age of infected cases has dropped nearly 20 years,” Hart told PJ Media.

White House Coronavirus Task Force Member Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged this fact last week: “The overwhelming majority of people who are now getting infected are young people, like the people that you see in the clips in the paper or out in the crowds enjoying themselves.”
Why would we listen to an incompetent think this is about death rates? This is about how fouled up the immuno system gets over the long run, the long term effects are not trivial., nor are they well known.  But the more we learn the more we are concerned.

\Nor does PJ Media understand this is a peculiar virus, a sphere protecting the RNA enzyme process inside.  We have never cracked these cases, yet.   But young people do foolish things, including smoking, so on a relative basis there may be some substance, just give me another month of discovery before I make claims like that.

The abortion ruling

States never had the right to void a defensive medical procedure. It is in the about two or three amendments, fundamental, which allow protections for the pregnant.

The problem soon becomes moot as fetuses become viable outside the womb. If you are pregnant and the fetus is viable in the aquarium, then you have the problem, not the states. That dilemma will come long before the Thomas bonehead gets near the issue. The solution looks like a massive legal mess, but science makes it unavoidable.

It is not precautionary

Guest Contribution: “Covid-induced precautionary saving in the US: the role of unemployment rate”

The research shows that people have lower loans/deposits in a contraction.  There is a reason, a contraction implies a drop in economies of scale and that implies fewer items in the consumer index.

The fear is not the S/L ratio but why we contracted in the first place. Economists who believe time-cost averaging were wrong in the first place so most of their conclusions about demand shortfall will be bogus.

So what caused the contraction? At least 2/3s of it was the covid. If ever there was a need to borrow money it would be to invest in a covid anti-body that cracks the corona shell. An inhaler with the anti-bodies taken as needed depending on local outbreak.  The anti-bodies last for three months in respiratory tissue and breaks the spike protein. The infection rate drops, traditional flu like care is much more effective, and the corona eventually disappears (to be replaced with another bird virus).

Then he had his Wile E Coyote moment

At a Friday press briefing by the White House's coronavirus task force, the first in nearly two months, Pence declared that the US had "flattened the curve,"painting a rosy picture at odds with reality.
Just four days later he is cancelling his electioneering and declaring a near emergency, Guv Abbot by his side.  Guns, ghosts, and goblins are not helping, all parties are on pandemic watch.   That moment when the philosopher, all prepped; then meets the contradiction in his world view.   Now we both suffering a post traumatic mess.

The answer is the same, find an antibody, in haler or shot, that cracks the shell, rips apart the spike protein. Like a seasonal boost which would be nice to have at the moment. If you have been in contact, inhale this anti-body post haste.

More like, chickens, maple syrup and herding

In “God, Guns, And Trump” Country, Simmering Doubts About The President

And there in lies the problem, neither guns, nor ghosts nor goblins will make that any better.

Why would small states gang up in their vote?

Economies of scale. We have to support about three types of states, we are not doing better than that.
So -iLog(i) comes into play and the small states comprise some nearly fixed quota of the federal goods.

They already do gang up, but call themselves some bonehead name like Freedom Block, or Neocon, or some shit.  We want to change their name to small states defined in the constitution, and we get it, they are not going anywhere. Let us make the deal.

We get a promise and impose a collective punishment. No Cottons, Sanders, or Ray Moore; skip the philosophers and other dufas, go find smart senators and we deliver huge quantities to the state capital. The value net works much better.

Central banks are tax collectors

The answer to this problem was given partially 200 years ago by David Ricardo. He demonstrated that there exists a superficial equivalence between taxation and borrowing in garnering funds for public expenditures. Many falsely claim that his proof was refuted by assailing the implications of his proof and conclusion; by arguing that a system of perpetual borrowing is unworkable and impractical, that deficits would soar to incomprehensible levels and never find favour with the public or public lenders. But one does not defeat a proof because one lacks the means to understand its full implications. Thus, Ricardo’s conclusion stands as solidly today as it did 200 years ago.
Ricardo was preaching a bit of magic. Government taxes are not uniform, higher interest charges are.

But the simple resolution is to examine how governments borrow lately. They do it with the help of a seigniorage gain from the central bank, otherwise known as a tax. So, today, we can see that Congress has elected to fund extra market borrowing with a highly regressive tax applied to the middle class via their bank accounts. And that is why we have antificants running around. They implicitly get the scam.

Note, the main discrepancy in Ricardo, the different methods of taxation, legislatures do not tax uniformly and that fouls his theory up, he is suffering flat earth syndrome. What we need is a general revision of economic theory to a theory built on value nets, and all this flat earth crap goes away, along with the useless proofs.

Sure, sidestep the dufas in the White House

Mike Pence in Dallas as Gov. Abbott says COVID-19 has taken 'very dangerous turn in Texas'
Pence urged everyone to wear a face covering. He wore a mask as he came off Air Force 2, as did Abbott and other state officials who met the plane.
“Our administration is promoting the practice” of mask wearing, Pence said. He sidestepped a question about whether President Donald Trump should wear a mask.

Boldface mine.

So, Pence is not really paying attention to the Trumpster, he is more worried about covid.   Repubs are getting onto the covid axis, as I call it, it is beginning to trump the Trumpster.

If I am a small state governor, I would be thinking that my share of the pie is being blown away by dufas politicians in the Swamp. If we are stuck with something serious, like covid, then why do we run around with necon nutballs, like Tom Cotton. Or for that matter, delusional idiots like Bernie Sanders.

If the millennials cannot sort out this nonsense then they are screwed.

First, when the physicists measure proton wobble in the single electron case they have lowered energy until the first three rows show on their wobble calculator.   So we can see their highest magnetic wobble will spin about the unit circle 17 times, from the last element in the Markov.

iLog(i) is in play in distributing energy through any corner of the graph, and it will not bunch up.  In Quanta, that graph is accurate to the third. These are just hyperbolic surfaces, closed with an opposite magnetic moment.

What is cart and horse?  Well, the fractional approximation rules wins, there are finite approximations in a 3D system. That yields the largest integer and spreading that about the Markov tree would select the first three rows, in sequence by resolution (= energy).  One would discover the uncertainty of counting accuracy past row three is greater than the inaccuracy of N, the total count of integers. And that is the residual error in the fraction approximation theorem.

In the physics of orbitals, maximum entropy means there are more axis i for counting as energy levels increase.  But those units are based on a prior, and damned good, estimate of Avogadro, in essence.  So they have good coefficients relating cloud size and charge count. They are essentially working to spread Plank around both the axis, and the count N, it is a fuzzy constant.  But, in the end the vacuum is a quanta, and everyone discovers the best fraction, both vacuum and physicist, both want the perfect quotient ring.

The Constitution is clear about my plan, it is letter correct

1) The Federals pay 3 billion per year to each state capital based on the performance of their senators.  Nancy can do the math for the next fifty years.

2) Fed get a 15 year renewable contract of independence and in return promise to wipe away a third of federal debt twice a generation, and you can bet on that. Large government agencies get their own Fed account, for the contract fee. Use is voluntary.

3) Have the generational overlap meeting on entitlements, complete with riots if we prefer.

4) Never forget Matt Young's priors, commercial property prices are sacred.

Slightly better than Nixon. We can still keep the peak consumer price hikes to less than 5% over five years. It is a chain of simple accounting tricks and adding a couple couple of  trading pits. Everyone is incentivized knowing we will record blunders in the default book on a reasonable basis. It keeps the Godots at bay.  Our mental health risk in attempting to decode all these philosophies. We know whats coming, bet on that.

Target what the Walmart checkout manager targets

NGDP Targeting in the United Kingdom

The central banks wants the best estimate of items per consumer basket, what is the current economy of scale.   The banker is a Waslmart checkout manager changing items per basket so the queues do not clog. We call this a structured queue, a Huffman encoding tree.

In a trimmed tail environment that becomes the change in NGDP.  That number is really the number of price items removed from the long tail to make the price index centered. Centering is all your central banker wants, do nothing else

Once the whole theory is learned, three basic rules will apply. The central banker removes skew in the price index, the variance is matched between loans and deposits with interest swaps, as needed.  And the mean is set by entry and exits. I am pretty sure we will discover this after a few proofs and maybe a short book.

The currency banker is really about finding the best bnomial approximate to Gauss that the economy can handle. This is equivalent to having all parties operate on the iLog(i) all within an integer. The number of consumer items fitting that Gauss is items per basket and represents the number of coherent value chains the economy can support.

There is no time structure, that is an insurance problem, though I could solve it in a separate trading pit. This is a lot like computing the various orbitals in atomics, they should all have the -iLog(i) condition and their energy slots form something like a Huffman encoder.

The Theory of everything is real, it is all about counting stuff in a triadic (my new word).

Better government accounting?

A Stronger Recovery Through Better Accounting

He wants to get better capital accounts and estimate future defaults.

Our future partial default will be around 8 trillion.  Our capital is the middle class and it can be estimated by the amount of siegniorage taxes the Fed hits them with.

The results of the accounting is clear, we are in for a partial default of at least a third of the debt. Likely to begin sometime during the transition.

Then that leaves another accounting issue,  writing the New Fed contract.  How about some idea on that?

The Fed does not set rates

This fact has been mathematically proven so many times since 1980, it is in the charts. The Fed follows the one year.

What the Fed does set is the Fed tax it collects from retail banking, the Treasury take on interest income. The tax has one specific rule.  Treasury depends on that tax and it is likely not going to be decreased. It will likely be doubled in size before the recession recovers.

The tax is passed down to lower middle class bank clients. It is highly regressive.

The second thing abouts rates being low.  Niot for congress which is still paying over two percent for existing debt, debt on the books. And we have done these numbers so often it is not worth repeating. The formula is interest paid divided by total debt. If you leave out the SS fund then drop that portion of interest paid, the number will still be over two percent.

The economists who have been saying rates are cheap have been fraudulent and have cost Treasury trillions in losses since 1980. After the rebellion antificants will be hunting down these fraudulent economists.

At this point it should be clear to every thinking person on this subject, a partial default is on the way, and this is the usual path.

The Mises crowd is stuck on this fractional banking issue

The tangle up two issues, 100% backed deposit to loans and the inefficiency iof central banking.

Let me start with the first.

What is 100% reserve banking?

It is not banking, it is a serial auction where depositors stand in the crowd and borrowers sell units of debt, one at a time.  It fails for the same reason Walmart does not hold auctions, people do no sit around for long periods waiting for the particular good they want.   The same issue holds with 100% fractional banking.

The second issue is the complexity of central banking in the USA.  Reserves are spilled all over the place within a compartment of governments and regulated accounts in a mish mash of a nightmare. That is mostly not fractional reserve banking. The reserves are there, mostly, the mostly comes from the government subsidies and a long lag on that.  We relay on investments banks in the primary dealer system to compute the reserve ratio, over all, including all government implied and explicit reserves set aside. It is an incredibly stupid system, but it is way stupid long before we hit the problem of fractional reserves.

Real banking works different.

People leave deposits in advance, ad hoc; and take out loans in advance, ad hoc. The banker sets the risk. About 5/6 of the risk is borne by lenders and depositors by the interest swap needed to keep the banker's 1/6 of the risk within bounds. At equilibrium, for the USA, the total risk is about 3-4%.

This is not complicated stuff, the complications all come from politicians trying to cheat within the central bank systems. The other complication is trying to make all agents risk equalized.  Mainly agents who tend to keep similar loan/deposit ratios. Hard, but much easier with new technology.

They will be running a 54 billion deficit, mostly bandaged with temporary budget shifting.  They count on 14 billion in Federal aid, but that is not nearly enough. This budget will not hold and expect a supplemental.

The error is all you Jonathan Chait

If I could change one thing about political coverage, it would be the practice of attributing actions by one party to "Congress".

Jonathan never thought ahead to what happens after the Obamacare tax rebellion. Many of us did think ahead.

The solution, Jonathan, is to pay off the state capitals to get their senators on board the program. You missed that because you were never taught the mechanics of value added nets and thus consistently failed to understand US government structure.

The fault is entirely Chait and he is on a prior tantrum.

A well established trend

OAKLAND — California local governments scrambling to find tax revenues during the coronavirus pandemic are turning toward an industry they had considered taboo until now: cannabis.

Both the 'scrambling to find tax revenue" and "turning toward cannabis" were well established trends before the covid.

So were, referendum to raise property taxes, raising sales taxes to the limit, raising income taxes, raising energy taxes, two or three times.  They have doing this since 2008 and have not stopped. They were just getting warmed up.

David Stockman on What Could Happen If the Fed Loses Control
International Man: Recently, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said the central bank’s money printing is designed to help average Americans, and not Wall Street.
What’s your take on this?
David Stockman: Yes, and if dogs could whistle, the world would be a chorus!
The truth is, in an economy encumbered with nearly $78 trillion of debt already—including $16.2 trillion on households, $16.8 trillion on business, $23 trillion on governments—the last thing we need is even lower interest rates and even bigger incentives to take on debt and leverage.
In fact, in a debt-saturated system, the Fed’s massive bond purchases never transmit anything outside the canyons of Wall Street. This money-printing madness only drives bond prices higher and cap rates lower—meaning relentless and systematic inflation of financial assets’ prices.
As a practical matter, of course, the bottom 90% don’t own enough stock or even inflated government and corporate bonds to shake a stick at. Instead, what meager savings they have accumulated languish in bank deposits, CDs or money market funds earning exactly what the Fed has decreed—nothing!
So, when Powell says he’s only trying to help the average American, you have to wonder whether he is just stupid or the greatest lying fraud yet to occupy the big chair at the Fed.
And even worse it rolls up the retail banking sector due to seigniorage fees.

Firefighters are the new cops

Last year, the city launched a pilot project downtown called Health Oneconsisting of two firefighters, a case worker and social worker to aid people during non-emergency overdoses or mental crises — a type of call that politicians and experts increasingly argue should no longer be handled by police.
This is the new cops union. And they cost just as much, and they will soon be carrying tasers.  There is always the regulated militia.

Fourteen bodies found in Mexico as violence continues to rise

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Fourteen people were found dead in the Mexican state of Zacatecas on Friday, the state government said, as violence in the country continues to worsen.
State officials said in a statement that they were investigating to determine the cause of death. The corpses were found in Fresnillo, one of the largest cities in the central mining state.

The bodies were wrapped in blankets on the side of the road, according to local media.

Although the number of crimes in Mexico has fallen as much of the country stays home to contain the coronavirus, the number of murders has risen to record levels.

Mary Trump once stood up to her uncle Donald - now her book describes a 'nightmare' of family dysfunction
The publisher has not revealed specifics, and Mary Trump, 55, declined an interview request. But clues to her dark view of her uncle can be seen in lawsuits, and interviews with former colleagues and teachers, academic papers and a series of now-deleted tweets, including one that said her uncle's election was the "worst night of my life."

A description of the book from publisher Simon & Schuster suggests it will draw heavily on her studies of family dysfunction, with Mary using her clinical background to dissect "a nightmare of traumas, destructive relationships and a tragic combination of neglect and abuse," including "the strange and harmful relationship between" her late father and Donald Trump.

This is really a Due Process issue

Cuomo and de Blasio Church Lockdown Orders Knocked Down by Federal Judge
An order by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio to limit the size of church services has been struck down by a federal judge.
The preliminary injunction pointed out that Cuomo and de Blasio undercut their claim that lockdown orders were "generally applicable" by encouraging large protests against police brutality while discouraging large church gatherings.
"The State argues, in overly-simplistic fashion, that the challenged laws only incidentally impose a burden on religious exercise, and they are neutral and generally applicable, and therefore, only rational basis need be shown, which is self-evident: preventing the spread of COVID-19," District Judge Gary Sharpe wrote. "The State was silent with respect to the mass race protests."
Cuomo and DaBlosio are not quite as stupid as Newsom who specifically set a rule for churches.  I am still pondering the  stupidity of the man.

But DaBlowsio and Fredo set a general rule and then began making exceptions based on politics. That requires a review, a Due Process.  The judge gave it on religious grounds, but this will apply in general for all those groups who get cheated by DaBlowsio and Fredo

AOC voters getting murdered, by AOC voters

New York City’s homicide rate has hit a five-year high as the amount of people shot has jumped 42 percent compared to last year on the heels of an “implosion” of the city’s judicial system, according to NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea.
A perfect storm of COVID-19 shutdowns within the judicial system (which have shunted indictments against the most dangerous illegal gun criminals), a breakdown in the city’s social safety nets (which has prisoners being released from jail straight into homelessness), and bail reform laws and case deferments have all hindered the NYPD’s efforts to staunch the bleeding, Shea believes.
"We cannot keep people safe without keeping bad, dangerous, people off the streets,” Shea said. "You have a criminal justice system that's imploding. That’s the kindest way to put it.”
AOC get a regulated militia, but there will be none of that for defenseless 'moms and pops'.  And forgetting this simple clue means AOC is indeed a failed Hispanic stater. She will have a short career once her Bronx voters tire of being murdered.

Maybe I need woking, but I doubt it. Failed Hispanic policies are very common, the results always bad for Hispanics, and we know it.  It is a bad state to be in and Hispanics need to take the extra time to figure out what this government is really about, hint, simply deception.

One of my favorite news outlets

Christian Science Monitor reports the inequality story:
George Mitchell holds up a megaphone to amplify his words to the crowd waiting for boxes of free food. “If you can’t use it, don’t take it,” Mr. Mitchell says. Donations are gratefully accepted, but “if you don’t want to pay, that’s OK.”
The lines for this twice-weekly event in Baltimore have grown significantly longer since the coronavirus shuttered major segments of the economy and sidelined millions of workers.

On this recent Friday, one of the people lined up outside the red-brick former school is Cassandra Branch, who lost her job as a security worker at M&T Bank Stadium. Another is Elizabeth Rice, an aspiring young educator whose school employment dried up. A retail opportunity also fell through, and she hasn’t been able to access unemployment benefits.

They ain't been woked yet, but it is coming.

But I digress. The point is that the expectation of getting a good job on the plantation is gone.  The plantation is unstable, it was a bad idea then and a bad idea now.  It is the job of small state governors to find new plantation directors who actually understand the problem in our government of the Swamp. I doubt it, there are too many uneducated voters in Arkansas and too many Tom Cottons.

For guv Hutchinson of Arkansas I have one possible learning step. Send Tom Cotton to get chicken farm subsidies. After he goes through the laborious earmark process, he might get tiny clue, but I doubt it.

Teachers union calls for elimination of LAUSD police force

The UTLA "House of Representatives" passed a motion Thursday night to eliminate LAUSD school police and redirect funding to mental health and counseling for students, said Anna Bakalis of the union.

Who is going to taser the crazies when a teacher is threatened?   This is nonsense and we know who the first person will be to propose a new police union for schools, Bakalis. The teachers union will exercise their right to a regulated militia.

This is an inter union squabble going on around the nation. Mostly about the new plantation and who gets what job, but the slaves remain the same group.

NYC Homicides Hit Five-Year High; Bronx Police Commander Retiring in Protest
New York's 14th congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives located in New York City, represented by Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The district includes the eastern part of The Bronx and part of north-central Queens. The Queens portion includes the neighborhoods of Astoria, College Point, Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and Woodside. The Bronx portion of the district includes the neighborhoods of City Island, Country Club, Van Nest, Morris Park, Parkchester, Pelham Bay, Schuylerville, and Throggs Neck. Roughly half of the population of the district is of Hispanic or Latino heritage, making it one of the more Latino districts in New York. Before redistricting for the 2012 election, much of the area was in New York's 7th congressional district.
Looks like the moms and pops are getting killed by AOC voters.  Ferguson effect coming your way.

Trump was the last stand against the failed Hispanic state

As Carlson points out, the affirmative case for Trump has always been to avoid the moment we are in right now. Trump ran as the law and order candidate and has continually promised to stop anarchy in its tracks. Like the “security moms” of the Bush era, many voters put Trump in office, not because they are enamored with his personality, but because they saw him as strong. He’s not currently living up to that image. To many on the right, that’s not a bad thing. They want to see people in these Democrat run cities reap the consequences of their voting patterns, with the assumption that they won’t like it and will turn back.

Likely the one ting that appealed to Trump voters, he was not California.  But we are stuck with California, the failed state, and a bizarre Supreme Court.

The last thing we need is a California affirmative actress as VP. Biden needs to get a clue about how far he should take the nonsense, else he ends up as another Hillary.

Peggy Noonan says Trump ‘cannot’ lead in a crisis
and calls on Biden to step up The conservative columnist also writes that Trump ‘doesn’t understand his own base’
I doubt Peggy understands his base.  His base is anti-California, like most sensible people. But otherwise, his base is no where near smart enough to figure the mess out.

Do we really believe that Guv Abbot or Tom Cotton has any clue? The anti-California crowd is fairly dense, as Trump demonstrates.  But the alternative of the failed sate in California is a nightmare.
