California Police Unions try a little Fascism

Orange County district attorney investigators obtained a search warrant late last week seeking records at the offices of an aggressive law firm accused of bullying city leaders across Southern California on behalf of police unions.
An Orange County Superior Court filing shows that district attorney investigators filed a search warrant last Wednesday for the Upland office of Lackie, Dammeier, McGill & Ethir.
The warrant, which was sealed, also targeted a Rancho Cucamonga home owned by the family of law firm partner Dieter Dammeier.
Investigators then raided the office on Thursday morning, carting off “scores of boxes full of documents and other materials,” according to the San Bernardino County Sentinel.
District Attorney spokeswoman Susan Kang Schroeder did not return a message seeking comment.
The investigation comes amid accusations that the firm was attempting to blackmail Costa Mesa city council members in order to get better deals for police unions.
The firm had even posted a playbook on their website which openly called for intimidating city leaders. Voice of OC

If they were Anglo Supremecists, then Kamala Harris says they are allowed, they are a racial minority with special rights.

The 14th Amendment says Anglo Americans are evil

Driver: We ask this Court to uphold the Sixth Circuit decision to reaffirm the doctrine that's expressed in Hunter-Seattle, and to bring the 14th Amendment back to its original purpose and meaning, which is to protect minority rights against a white majority, which did not occur in this case.

Says:
Shanta Driver, lawyer for the unwieldily named Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration and Immigrant Rights and Fight for Equality by Any Means Necessary, or BAMN. In Schuette v. BAMN, the organization is challenging a provision of Amendment 2, a Michigan ballot initiative, that bans racial discrimination at the University of Michigan and other public institutions of higher education.

OK, that is good to know, the Anglo minority in California is, evidently, an evil race, as determined by the 14th Amendment to the constitution. I won't bother to read the thing, I will just accept that the post Civil War winners had determined Anglos to be forever evil. But it matters not. We do not obey the constitution out here, and Kamala Harris, our AG, has already determined that minority Anglos are the favored race, so there.

Of course, there is the other interpretation, members of the racists Undemocratic Party never completed third grade math.

Krugman wants to talk Hicks and Keynes and savings

How does the IS LM chart produce this behavior.  Savings going up for the private sector as interest rates drop. In fact, under the Clinton policy, all savings went up for eight years, until Bush.

The indication is that the Keynesians stimulus we try out at each recession fails a bit, leaving us with continuing losses. Go ask Krugman, its his theory. He says its causation, government evidently does lousy stimulus because we save too much.
Private savings rise with inflation, the ratio relatively constant. All the changes in savings came from DC, mainly borrowing for the bailouts during a recession, a pattern started with Reagan. That magical upturn never arrived after each Keynesian impulse.

McConnell Got a Goodie in the deal

McConnell-Reid Deal Includes $3 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Project
A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project. Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

McConnell finds a prize
Ha,ha. I told you all so. This is the typical small state government transaction, this is the true small state Senate. This Senate is in opposition to the large state House delegate blocks. That is the essence of this Civil War. Now watch what happens, all hell breaks loose on discretionary spending, high interest rates as the interest costs jump and the discretionary spending flies.

Ratings agency downgrades budget deal to 'Can Kick'

Extending Debt Ceiling Doesn’t Remove Market Uncertainty
“What we’ve seen so far does not change the outlook,” Mr. McCormick said. “If they kick the can down the road for a few weeks or a few months, it doesn’t really remove the uncertainty prevailing in the market.”

Gang of 30 tiny Hoover states over run Alamo defenders

Ted Cruz leads the House
Our story of a little band of 36 delegates from Texas, led by a One Fourth Senator, nearly fought the combined powers of mighty Party Oligarchs. Sixty Tiny Little Hoover Senators from tiny rural towns all across America staged a Senate charge.

Remember the Alamo!

Lets do this again, and I will be much kinder to the Republicans, I promise.

My other One Fifth Senator got quoted!

The Hill quoted her! The pollution police are back on duty, not a moment o spare:
Boxer: EPA will return to full strength as quickly as possible after shutdown. The head of the Senate panel overseeing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said that the agency’s chief is committed to restarting its operations as soon as possible once the government shutdown ends.
Either Barbara Boxer or Shirley McLane
This is an early photo, I think she is 104 years old by now. Normally our two little poodles are never heard from, years go by. I am paranoid, I think they are being quoted just because I trash them for being affirmative action ambassadors. Neither has a vote that counts, none of the little Hoovers like them and, out here in Fresno, we don't even know who they are.

For you global warmers out there, Boxer is a fan of the energy inefficient light rail, she is an oil burner!

Mark Zandi again

“This brinksmanship, which happens every three, six, [or] twelve months, is corrosive on our collective psyche and it is weighing on our willingness and ability to take risk,” Mr. Zandi said at an event hosted by the Washington-based think tank Third Way. “I am increasingly of the view that the reason why we can’t get our groove back, why those animal spirits that are so key to the well workings of the American economy are bottled up are because of what’s happening” in Washington.
Mr. Zandi works for the advisory arm of Moody’s Corp. and does not make decisions about the firm’s credit ratings for the U.S.

He advocates positive growth will get us out of the debt trap. Unfortunately, Zandi has no clue about the underlying trend in growth, namely it is pointing to negative growth. If we let the economy do its thing, it will seek the mean, a negative growth trend. So, Mark, the party in DC is all about finding out why bozo policies cause negative pressure on growth. You wouldn't have any clue about that?

Who is saving their money?

Mostly the private sector.
But things are reversing a bit. This measures the amount of consumption you have foregone today in hopes of greater consumption tomorrow.

House caves

Boehner and Pelosi jointly issued a declaration of surrender.  Thirty little, tiny rural states, Hoover states,  will now create the budget. My One Fifth Senator, Diane Feinstein is needed to serve tea.

The Deal:
