Restructuring the UC system in California

The UCLA/Anderson school of management is going private, partially.  The talk is how best to maximize gain for the various departments and campuses throughout the state.

My views are well known, this is a recovery from  information technology effects.  Valuable UC departments remain affiliated with the system, but farm themselves out to a much larger regional student base, using technology to efficiency.  Technology lets campuses specialize while retaining a large student draw, it minimizes transportation.

It will work just fine.  This is an adjustment to transportation, using information technology to transport information goods, universities are in a great position.
