A little about TrailerBot

Today the technology makes for a little four wheeled flatbed small autonomous vehicle. It is powered by a light weight gas hybrid. If we combine DSRC with a tracking link layer, version of VANET, then we can drag the little trailer along behind the car. You solve the problem of the very light weight truck, that last remaining, ultimately useful vehicle known to man. I can get a Prius, and whenever I need a truck, I signal for TrailerBot. It stays right behind because it is communicating with my Prius.

TrailerBot works with any car that has the BlackBox, even motor scooters. You can carry a handheld BlackBox, and TrailerBot will follow along side you. A good trailer bot costs a mere $10,000; but the thing will run for years, and has component replaceable upgrades. It is good for long trips, short trips. It can handle camping gear, or a load of mulch for my garden. On the farm it is small enough to wander around with you for short hauls. It is gentle enough to take the grandkids around the farm in a hay stack.
