What is the median exchange rate, events per minute, say. At the grocer, I would say the traffic light median switching time. Everything else at the grocer is a fair match, in my Walmart theory. Clerks are pretty good, aisle size, crate and pallet sizes, truck sizes match up well. But the thing that drives their business is likely the switching time on the corner traffic signal.
Imagine the gain of just letting drivers notify the grocer, automatically. A deal between the customer and the grocer, to synchronize around traffic restrictions.

It is like finding barrels of unused oil lying around in pipes.

Another example is smart phones and bus locators, generating more efficient bus packing. Better cargo management with smart trucks, getting municipal traffic light involved with run time band width purchases. And GPS-O-Meters to price the Cabbys.

We are going to get this relentless drive toward smart cargo boxes, let them find their own way.
