Clive Crook is wrong

Brad praises Clive for arguing the Keynesian thing.

I think not.  Clive is simply arguing for a fantasy.  He complains about Congress, but we have had this type of Congress for 200 years.  Keynesians build theory from fantasy, like religious psychotics.  Government and the Congress is what they are, and unlikely to change because Clive and a bunch of elites want them to change.

Economists should urge policies based on what the electorate does.  Economic theory should have noted that a resurgence of a populism was in the cards four years ago.  Keynesian policy doesn't recognize that government change and adapt. For a Keynesian, depression economics mean, goody, no more voters only elites make the rules.   Then Keynesians stand around being shrill because no one believes their theory of government by elitism.
