The Superbus

What do the robots need to move buses at 120 mph? At least one lane of their own between LA and Vegas.  You cannot get any cheaper per mile, and Silicon does the rest.  Convert construction workers into intelligent lane development.

Take an articulated, the limo, whatever; the robots can keep it on track. But infrastructure, bus and asphault is about the same. What changes are the robots, talking to each other, and letting the buses run at over 100 mph.   But humans have to obey railroad rules around these things, they should get wall protected lanes. Otherwise, road space is damn cheap to get along meridians.

Cities along the route can spend little and create wideouts. At the minimum hey must have controlled traffic lighting and obey simple cross bar technology. These things will go through city streets.

Autobus to the strip, great for business in Vegas, low cost real time Disney ride type stuff.
