Dills Act crowds out San Jose government

With pension costs devouring San Jose's budget and many employee unions balking at reducing their perks, San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed on Friday unofficially declared what is believed to be the city's first fiscal state of emergency and said he will take his case to the voters in November. The Dills Act was the infamous law that granted government unions binding negotiating power, signed by Guv Jerry Brown some 30 years ago.I cannot get a clearer picture of Keynesians in one level of government crowding out Keynesians in another level.

My own County, Fresno, is in much worse shape. We cannot fix the problem because the same crooks occupy county posts.
