The real problem with deficit negotiations

Federal goodies come in large packages for large groups.  There is no small negotiations since the progressives managed to assign each group their own goodie.

This is the Kennedy curse, drunken Irish senators who rule with pompous announcements and make the welfarists swoon.  Each welfare grouped thus bailed with a large targeted package. When it is time for negotiations, there is no small change for the middle ground.

So when reviewing this post about strategies for deficit reduction, we discover an unpleasantness.  Idiot progressives get their entitlements passed in one big chunk, then moan and complain when they are removed in one big chunk.
