Visitors per year

Disneyland around the world is getting 10 to 12 million.  Vegas can get 30 million, but much of it is pass thru.  The large consumer electronics show gets a guarter million.  Large numbers, it takes 5,000 bus trips to fill the CES convention (50 * 5,000 )
The transportation logistics means long lines of buses along the strip, dumping hoards of visitors per convention.  In the age of bus ultra high speed transit, one protected lane on I-15 could move 20,000 passengers per hour.  Bringing in 100,000 LA visitors for a weekend convention would be a comfortable for the passenger at 4 hours, one way, in a superbus.

Smart phones and social networking make conventions, large and small, limited to transportation efficiency, trip time * trip volume.  Vegas, the center of this network, opens a great many venues from entertainment to technology; based on the web's ability to self select specialized groups.

So you see, promoting very high performance, robotic toll lanes through the Pacific is to the very great advantage of a visitor town like Vegas.
