Here is my debate statement:
The smart card is pure cash.
Physically, it fits in your wallet, and can even be shaped like a coin.
It can hold denomination values without fear of counterfeiting.
Monetary exchanges can be made, hand to hand with no bank clearing.
Security can be made equivalent to printed cash, almost as good as gold.
In other words, a tiny chip, and LCD display and protected software can emulate cash better than cash, it is pure cash.
