Larry Summers: Experience since 2010, when Obamacare was passed, shows how wrong the traditional view is. Coverage has been substantially expanded. Yet costs, which grew far more rapidly than gross domestic product for a half-century, have now moved into line with GDP growth, resulting in large savings to Medicare and private health insurance.
Medical services have been a squeeze for 30 years. Today, medical inflation is 2.5 points higher than the headline CPI. There is a slight trend up since Obamacare.
So, no there is no cost control. Obamacare services, taxes and debt are all going up.
