My latest robot idea is a robot about the size of a cat designed to work in space. These robots work with an erector set type system designed just for their capability. The robots live and charge themselves on the very components they use to build large structures.
The little robots are really good a polishing mirrors and building large space telescopes, and they fly away with their telescopes continuing to maintain them. The robots work around the space station, a good place for them to start. We send up simple, light weight erector components, packaged and ready for the little fellows.
