Kurdish-Led Forces Were Used as Wedge Between US and Turkey, Expert Says

The alliance between the United States and Kurdish-led forces to defeat the ISIS terrorist group in Syria has had a damaging impact on the United States’ relationship with Turkey in a region threatened by Iranian and Russian hegemony, according to an expert.Erbil Gunasti, who formerly worked under Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogen and is the author of an upcoming book, “GameChanger,” is of the opinion that President Donald Trump distanced himself from the Kurdish People’s Protection Unit (YPG) in a bid to win over Erdogan.

It all happened starting around 2010 when Hillary promoted the Arab spring.

Erdogan went along because Assad was supposed to be deposed. Instead we got ISIS and that meant relying on the Kurds and implicitly supporting Assad.

Russia is not the hegemon, Russia is  a large nation 800 miles to the north which pays a price for middle east nonsense.  Putin was correct in reversing the Hillary nonsense, but that left a few million mohuumerdudes stranded in Turkey. That is the problem, the Kurds are a side show. Erdogan wants something to show for the Hillary mess.
