At the time (early 70s?) packet switching between mainframes and dispersed dumb terminals was common technology in the private sector. As the dumb terminal was replaced with smarter, programmable work stations, some college kids simplified the dumb packet protocol and generated what we know as TCP/IP, about 40 pages of plain text describing an improved version of packet switching.
The other takeaway is that leftist bootleggers will be taking money from poor people and giving it to Netflix executives for a while.
