High School kids with Internet technology

County representatives at the hearing estimated that the cost to get the statewide system up and running could be as high as $50 million. “They are building entire county courthouses for $50 million,” said Sen. Doug La Malfa, R-Richvale. “I have a facebook page that cost me nothing.”

This is Doug who gets it! What he is referring to is the $1.9 billion cost to put Internet capability in front of Judges who already have Internet capability in from of them. Mainly, we need Internet access to computer case pages.

Happens every time, California government tries to computerize something, the fraud starts immediately and becomes the program. Gray Davis used to get involved in this crap, and so did the Gubinator. Both of them too stupid to figure it out.

Suggestion to Jerry Brown, e mail the Sqlite3, (sqlite-users@sqlite.org) mailing list, and offer $100 grand to the first group who can make case management readable on the internet. Seriously, Jerry can make one e mail and get around the instituional theft that is California government. Call me, but I am going to charge $200 grand. Meantime, just cancel the program.

Skip Oracle, or any of the other big software vendors, go straight to the high school kid with Internet technology.

By the way, does this remind anyone of the discovery, by hoards of government officials and economists, that turning off the light switch stops the consumer from paying high energy prices? California government spent $45 billion to discover that houses have light switches, and it costs Davis his job.

By the way, does this remind anyone of the Cab license fiasco in NYC?   Cab license fees cost nearly a million on the free market, but Bloomberg can simply have Cabbies put the Mileometer with GPS in any cab and charge by the mile, regulating with a web page, total cost $10 per cab.  Under that proposal, there are no cab license fees, simply raise the rates on a per mile basis to reduce cabbie congestion.

Governments involved in simple corruption, nothing else.
