Yglesias, close but no cigar

The president, the senior White House staff, the cabinet secretaries, the senators, the House members, the senior congressional staff, and the lobbyists, association heads, business executives, governors, mayors, foreign officials, and media celebrities who they interact with are all personally pretty high income.

No, it is simply that they interact in DC that represents the problem. They are all in Washington DC. That maybe Ok if one thinks the world ends and begins in Washington DC, (The Great Exogenous again), but sorry, the $15 trillion debt is paid out here, where the Senators, presidents , secretaries etc do not interact.  Because they do not interact out here, they are not going to get their debt payments, and so we have a debt crisis.

Fewer interactors in Washington DC and more interactors in the wilderness. Or better yet: No Taxation without Interaction
