But Democrats, who are resistant to across-the-board cuts, say the current opposition to raising the debt limit is little more than political posturing.
"Proposing it kind of signals a certain lack of seriousness," said U.S. Sen. Al Franken, a Democrat. "It would be a disaster of untold proportions."
Minnesota citizens, you lose more money than California, how's your state budget? Minnesota has a $7 billion budget shortfall, over a $32 billion dollar budget cycle. That is a lot of budget cutting for a state that subsidizes Washington. The following states lose the most to the Republican Communists:
New York | $0.79 | 42 |
California | $0.78 | 43 |
Delaware | $0.77 | 44 |
Illinois | $0.75 | 45 |
Minnesota | $0.72 | 46 |
New Hampshire | $0.71 | 47 |
Connecticut | $0.69 | 48 |
Nevada | $0.65 | 49 |
New Jersey | $0.61 | 50 |
Minnesota is the fourth most genereous, Senator Reid is genereous to Washington with a whopping 35% of Nevada tax money, and Nevada is hurting. I notice that Democrats seem to be foolish with the money of their state citizens.
Minnesota citizens, when you cut $7 billion from the next state budget, you can thank Al Franken all the way to the poor house.
