Political scare tactics

GOP leaders propose billions in cuts to Obama's budget request

This is a case of progressives ignoring network effects.  Obama's proposal to help poor people, like Romer's proposal to help California education, likely has the opposite effect than intended, due to the skewed network effects.   People are poor in the three big bankrupt states because they have to take money from the poor and subsidize central government programs Progressives propose.

What happens as Progressives continue the scare tactics?   In my community, Progressives will take about 15% of our local funds used to help the poor. Eric Cantor's district in Washington will obtain more federal employment. Chris Romer will lose her job because we have to make a choice between subsidizing Washington or helping the poor.
