A day after siding with President Obama’s push for a massive restructuring of federal spending and the tax code, Boehner suggested that Republicans and Democrats remained far apart on the critical issues.WA Post
Split government works, we might get a federal shutdown and then comes the boom.
Even Dems get it:
Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) warned Friday that President Obama faces turmoil in the Senate and in his reelection campaign if he includes Social Security cuts in any debt-ceiling deal.
The senators said the White House has not communicated effectively to Senate Democrats and they and their rank-and-file colleagues are being frozen out of the process. The Hill
That makes a total of three Congressional districts using two Senators to save the entitlement. California has about 1/25 of the Senators to speak for the economy out here where 30% of labor avoids the entitlement tax entirely..
