By the way, I do ponder the code a bit, though I fear to actually look at it. What I ponder is this code I use for the command line, the console table is tied to a Filter object, which has information about the console operator, actually. But it handle the default event, the default triple, with the default prompt for the client to type in TE script. Since event masks are nested, as the filters that define event masks are nested, then the console filter can handle the four or so default events: key word and operator matches and sub query on enclosed object and the inverses. Oh yes, the table attribute is a match event, causes some micro action, as does the schema thingy. New definitions suddenly appear and over ride, no problem.
I need the alter-matt to actually restart the code thing. Where are the undergrads to take this thing over. I do have the default event coded. The main routine just runs the default triple into the machine, it first executes the sql 'select '_','_',0; ' which generates the default event into the output filter. Of course it is a dead giveaway, because the query operator was the default operator. So I put in some sophisticated code to find this when it occurs, and I have an opcode that does two micro actions, parse the command line and start a query.
The resulting sql spew runs right through to the output filter which spots the event, and looks in the short opcode list for a micro handler, and comes up with command line parser. Issue a sub query? What? call new graph on one or two tables, tie them to a filter, set unready and done.
For the client, using schema defined reports, his options are use the long,short, typical, or specialized formats. His choices limited, but they span the domain with a minimal set, likely he way the human wanted it. Everything then is back to g graphs, the argument patterns, the huffman encoding, captured semantics, text reduction. In the code, you will find, everything always comes done to a graph convolution with event detectors.
The basic assumption, for every sql cannon you fire, you have a little net to catch the ball. So those little TE scripts don't explode on us.
