Republicans don't have a small government mantle, Bubba Clinton still has it!

Obama tries to seize the mantle of small government from Republicans
Other than the two years Obama has been president, the last 30 years have been Clinton small government and Republican die hard debt based Communism. Look at the graphs.

Obama don't need to seize anything, just point out borrow and spend Republicanism. Obama:
“We live in a 21st century economy, but we’ve still got a government organized for the 20th century. Our economy has fundamentally changed — as has the world — but our government, our agencies have not. The needs of our citizens have fundamentally changed but their government has not. Instead, it has often grown more complex."

Nice start Obama, keep it up, you are sounding like Ron Paul and you might just take us out of the recession. I suggest Obama make some passing reference to Senate malproportionality. Scare the shit out of Diane, always a blast.

But Obama gets this wrong:
Obama is asking lawmakers to grant him a reorganizational power that would let him propose mergers that would save the government money. The House and Senate would then decide whether to approve his ideas in an up-or-down vote in 90 days.
No, concentrating dictatorial power at the center doesn't work. All you are going to get is a mountain of bureaucrats gunning for jobs as DC downsizers, likely have to create a new cabinet spot.

Want to get downsized and efficient in DC fairly fast? Go to California and announce that Californians do not have a Senate vote, and it s a damn shame.
