Obama vs Clinton on deficit reduction

Who can reduce the deficit? Certainly not Republicans, so it comes down to Bill Clinton vs Obama.  Obama started with the Bush deficit, 10% of GDP. Other than the bonehead stimulus, Obama has reduced the deficit at a faster rate than Bill Clinton. Even Bill stumbled a bit with the Keynesians, as you can see.  But the slope of deficit reduction basically is steeper with Obama and he wins the prize.

Now some might say that the 60% increase, or near doubling of the deficit was Obama's fault, but most of that increase comes from the continual expansion of principal on debt from Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2. Evidently we pay compound interest on the misdeeds of the Republican Communist Party.
