In an interview with the Mercury News, new Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye vowed to make keeping the courts open "my top priority." But the chief justice also conceded that Brown's proposed cuts put the judiciary in an even more tenuous spot than two years ago, when the court closures were approved to save about $90million, less than half of the cut now in Brown's plan. Just as cities insist they should not have to sacrifice their redevelopment agencies, court officials plan to urge Brown to reconsider his cuts to the judicial branch.I have stood in line with my smart phone for hours to see a judge who is sitting right in front of a web enabled computer. Kids leave their information devices at home to watch a blackboard and get lectures. When I represent myself, I do not get the short lawyers line, I have to wait with the masses. I remember these inefficient elites, I would prefer to default then pay them
These public employees cannot think beyond their elite status, they will revert to the 18th century to preserve it. Default works, bankruptcy works, nothing makes the elite sit up and pay attention.
