Another Munchkin

Hill: Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is threatening to block the Senate from fast-tracking a funding bill as lawmakers face a Friday deadline to avoid a government shutdown. The Democratic senator will object to a unanimous consent request to speed up the Senate's consideration of a continuing resolution (CR) unless lawmakers reach a deal to help miners, Manchin spokesman Jonathan Kott said. The Senate isn't expected to receive the short-term funding bill until Thursday. If Manchin makes good on his pledge to hold it up, the Senate will not be able to pass the funding legislation by the Friday deadline to avoid a shutdown.
Hey, Joe Munchkin, how long have you brrn waiting for your federal goodie?

Manchin and his allies have been taking to the Senate floor throughout the week to try to put a public spotlight on their standoff."We are coming up on a deadline, a deadline we knew almost two years ago we would hit," Manchin said Tuesday."Because we have been unable to secure a vote, that would keep our promise to the miners and their families who have given so much to this country, I am forced to come to this floor and object to some good pieces of legislation."
Two years, and no goodie from Congress, so our boy gonna shut down the budget.  Where did all the goodies go? Big states.
