Producer prices, in red, likely represent some 40 of their economy. I figure that PPI is a relative cost of input and CPI the relative price received.
When PPI suddenly jumps above CPI, then a bunch of enterprises are suddenly less profitable. In China's case, these companies are unable to meet debt payment.
