Pilots and ground crew can fix fences

Here is a bit of bzonkeerville from the Royal Airforce.  They have stray dogs on the airfield because the fence is rusty.  A jet fighter hit a mutt and sustained a few hundred grand in repairs.  Here is the plot line:
Sun UK: It follows fury at the base being plagued by strays as the ancient perimeter fence rusts.
The source said: “Packs of strays roam the base for food. There’s no money to do anything about them, apparently.
“Everyone is s****ing themselves about a major incident.”
The RAF confirmed: “An RAF Tornado GR4 hit a feral dog. The aircraft has returned to service.”

OK, base commander, here is a clue.  Get on the web, learn a bit about chain link fence repair, then go out with a crew, fence pliars and wire.
