The four position, translucent thumbprint button

On every cash card.

The thumb button is slightly depressed to support translucent blood vessel biometrics and thumbprint both.  But it also supports a four position switch for simple passcodes.

Smart card needs the button, or tap function somewhere.  So, logically combine the button and biometrics. Fingerprints can be duplicated, but the duplicating sheet is detectable with translucent light. And the physical thumb need be present to actuate the simultaneous passcode.  All enclosed in a tamper proof, intelligent card with NFC.

I should note.  The cash card is slightly different in that it contains keys unseen by humans and only available by difficult reverse engineering.  Thus, having a perfect duplicate thumb does not help, the thieves need the card to go along.
