The state guv owes the dough

Fairly clear that the decades of disadvantage was imposed on local voters by state voters.  The court is going to pass it up the chain, state legislatures are stuck Illinois has the problem, state law bankrupting cities. Judges are ruling that cities get to keep essentials, passing most of the liability back to state.

Lots of debt

A Reuters analysis of U.S. household data shows that the bottom 60 percent of income-earners have accounted for most of the rise in spending over the past two years even as the their finances worsened - a break with a decades-old trend where the top 40 percent had primarily fueled consumption growth. With borrowing costs on the rise, inflation picking up and the effects of President Donald Trump’s tax cuts set to wear off, a negative shock - a further rise in gasoline prices or a jump in the cost of goods due to tariffs - could push those most vulnerable over the edge, some economists warn.
The consumer and gov both are expanding debt equally in order to get those projected GDP numbers.  A good part of the new debt has been increased interest charges.

Women complain about federal housing unfairness

When an upgrade in housing can be had for another 200 bucks, but they are on random wait, indefinitely, for some 1200 bucks in federal housing.   Some seem to get the big bucks some don't, and the issue is that 1200 split four ways provides a mountain of housing upgrade around here. The Federales create a stratification effect, and local taxpayers funds spent inefficiently in the round trip.

This goes ditto for medical insurance and education.  Stratification costs huge, especially during the learning phase.

• Inside the Decade-Long Russian Campaign to Infiltrate NRA and Elect Trump (Rolling Stone)

Relative housing costs to government

A federal housing voucher is a 1200/month payment around here.  The mayor of Camptown LA can house them in tents, cars and micro-enclosures for 400/month.

The difference is that the mayor can break the building codes and he has a police force to manage the dysfunctionals.  Federal housing subsidies, thus inefficient.  The Feds take taxes from California citizens and in the round trip end up paying four times the housing costs.  Camptown LA is better off seceding from the Union.

Farmers taxed to cover their own subsidies

“I Want To Sell And They Want To Buy”

The post discusses the ag tariffs from the trade wars.

The post does not mention the prior subsidies granted by Congress to ag.  The correct balance is simply, we cannot afford ag subsidies anymore, so we are applying an external tariff to collect it. And in the fair deal, farmer pay for their own welfare costs.

Another point abut how guv liens

They put the liens in the county recorder, under the name, and escrow officers and banks have to work that list. The county system hunting scofflaws for money.

Bitcoin at 7480

I said anything between 3500 and numbers near 6500.

Bitcoin works,  not with fast time to reaction, it is fewer steps to.  The insider need only pull the trigger, his trading bot is on duty at the major exchanges.  The currency wars would cause bitcoin jumping, I think the central banks fear this.

Bitcoin picks up the wedge size every time an action or non action happens at the central bank.  Insiders punch the button, in this case yuan depreciation, whoever knew it first.

Hyperloop and pneumatic pod

My hyperloop is four feet in diameter.  Two people get into the pneumatic pod and scoot along the tunnels at ultra high speed, with few sudden stops.  They get some control on airflow, for the occasional U turn.

One variation has my pod picking up electricity and blowing its own electro fan, scoot around everywhere.

Government has a difficult negotiation with me

I have out waited them on back taxes, and they see very little income, past and future.

They should make that a rule, if the taxpayer as out waited the back tax collector until retirement, and can prove middle class retirement, then why bother collecting back income taxes. Their transactions costs are way up, and they likely get nothing anyway.

But the government fears swapnetters, folks who can move assets off line, run a cash business. However, the same principle applies. Get Coase (sandbox), Government could provide liquidity to the swap netters, then do a deal with the potential retires; government minimizes their take for back taxes to some percentage, say 10%. Then the process is automated, middle classers can survive the back tax collection process.

Rebalance, in some form or fashion there be 40 million boomers doing it over the next five. And, mostly, government comes up short.  China is having a devaluation, the real kind, and painful. To make in and out work, China is giving uo some consumer surplus, and dropping prices in our direction.

More left wing police state

The Wall Street Journal continues to counter  the  liberal mainstream media's Trump Derangement Syndrome, dropping uncomfortable truth-bombs and refusing to back off its intense pressure to get to the truth and hold those responsible, accountable (in a forum that is hard for the establishment to shrug off as 'Alt-Right' or 'Nazi' or be 'punished' by search- and social-media-giants).And once again Kimberley Strassel - who by now has become the focus of social media attacks for her truth-seeking reporting - does it again this morning, as she points out - after his 'treasonous' outbursts, that Obama's CIA Director John Brennan acknowledges that it was him egging on the FBI's probe of Trump and Russia.

Prepare for devaluation

The currency war has arrived. So say some of the best and brightest in the $5.1 trillion-per-day foreign-exchange market. U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday accused China and the European Union of “manipulating their currencies and interest rates lower.” The comments came after the yuan plunged to its lowest level in a year, with little sign of China’s central bank intervening to stem the slide. They also follow a decline in the euro this year and add to the calculus that European Central Bank policy makers might need to consider when they meet next week.
It will be fun to watch bitcoin during the devaluation.

Offer in compromise

My taxes due some to 120k, if everything is added up.  But I never showed more than 70k in income for the last 15 years, including the original tax hit on stock that was never sold for gain.  I never showed enough income for the original claim to be taxed, and kept my official income under the radar for 16 years.

Basically it was one year of badly written tax law before the dot com crash, and the government  is stuck.  Hence OIC for the state and another for the feds.

IBM makes digital dollars

The Big Blue is helping launch a stablecoin (or coins that are pegged to fiat currencies) cryptocurrency. IBM Corp. (IBM) has partnered with Stellar, a blockchain that shares technology with Ripple, and Stronghold, a startup, to launch USD Anchor. Coins of USD Anchor are backed by an equivalent amount of US dollars stored at FDIC-insured banks by Nevada-based Prime Trust. According to Jesse Lund, IBM’s head of blockchain services, the startup plans to “enable all sorts of digital transactional networks to settle their transactions with digital fiat currency on the same blockchain networks.”
OK, easy to do.  Tether does it just fine, didn't need all those partners. The fiat system has a consensus method, it is easy for them to cooperate on digital, liquid dollars.

Yes, give the renters a tax break

Rents in California have skyrocketed over the past decade, thanks to the innumerable restrictions, taxes, and fees that the state imposes on new housing development. Now Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) wants the rest of the country to pay to fix this problem. On Thursday, Harris, along with Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Maggie Hasan (D–N.H.), and Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), introduced the Rent Relief Act, which would provide refundable tax credits for tenants who spend more than 30 percent of their income on rent.
Repubs like debt, let us add some.  In fact, Repubs ought to take this bill and run with it.  Reason Magazine does not like all tax cuts, but this one is OK.

The better outcome is to raise taxes and cut spending, that leads to a smooth exit.  However, we have too much debt, no one wants to pay for it, suggest we go down the tax cutting ath until we are forced to resolve the imbalances.

More than me are doing the pension stampede

Pretty clear the pensions are not making their quota, the municipals are on the tax prowl and no discretionary spending left at all.  We are likely to see a gas tax reversed.  Boomers are running from the problem out here, likely trigger a bit of local budget crisis.

The results are obvious, we have hundred thousand homeless, and we can only afford camptown.  The unions have allocated all the government money including the future. Boomers are not that stupid, and are retiring ASAP.

A bit of truth for Calizuela environmentalists

The cost of supporting the production of renewable energy seems eye-watering. This column argues, however, that the alternative of a future energy system lacking the benefits of low-cost zero-carbon technologies is even more costly. While most renewable technologies are not yet competitive on cost with mature carbon-intensive technologies, support for renewables can be justified by learning spillovers.
The author points out that current renewable technology generally releases more CO2 than the equivalent fossil fuel solution.  They get that result by counting all the costs, not have the costs like the Cal environmentalists do.  Hence, they recommend learning a bit more about it.

800 jobs gained in California

Last month, employers in four of California’s 11 industry sectors added jobs. The education and health services sector gained the most, growing by 8,000 jobs. The information sector, which includes tech companies and Hollywood studios, grew by 4,600 jobs.
Employers in the government sector and the professional and business services sector also added jobs. The other seven sectors saw job losses. Leisure and hospitality cut 4,000 jobs. The construction sector shrank by 2,900. Trade, transportation and utilities lost 2,600 jobs. Employers in manufacturing, finance, mining and logging and “other services” also trimmed payrolls.

The numbers are generally volatile, but thus was the lowest in the last two years.

When we default

Depression then Hyperinflation
Renowned geopolitical and financial cycle expert Charles Nenner says don’t believe the Federal Reserve when it says it expects “the strong performance of the economy will continue.” According to Nenner, it’s about to go the other way—down. Nenner explains, “Definitely, later this year, the interest rates are going lower, and it could be much lower. We did work on all kinds of economic indicators. Employment is not going to be as good anymore as they say. Inflation is not going to be as strong as they expect. The commodity index is breaking down. Copper cycles are down. Crude oil cycles are down. Soon, everybody is going to wake up again and say hey, what’s going on? It is very interesting how Wall Street is approaching all the indicators. . . . If you do your homework, everything actually looks like the economy is weakening.”

Tax issues!

What I am finding on back income taxes is that the IRS is willing to deal, the Cal tax agents is not so disposed. So I have to either drop the sale of property, let it revert to a cash rental, or find some way to deal with Cal tax agents.

The Cal system does have offer in compromise. It has two states, 1) If I sell this property they will try it take it all.  If I let the sale fall through then the Cal tax agent see no assets.  There is no way I can present this problem to the tax agents, the system is not flexible.

Brexit and the Euro trade

Brexit Meets Gravity: By Krugman

Let us construct the transaction cost equal zero solution.

I drop goods on the chunnel train, and, with 97% probability my cargo transmits, and pays,  the correct tariff, via a near field wireless interface upon entering chunnel.  In fact, set transportation differentials to zero.

What is my leakage?
Scofflaws, violators who cheat on cargo, that is the problem with gravity, the scofflaws always find the next best path to down hill.

If not for scofflaw, Coase, rules, both sides have zero transaction costs, they apply their pricing formula. England has way more than enough diversity to realize the Coase outcome, we get a balance.

Scofflaws are mostly caught eventually, but we have an insurance fee.  This is Krugman's point, and it can be encapsulated into the insurance fee, a real price, but measurable and assignable.  The solution is for both parties to lower their tariffs, lowering the liability from scofflaws.

See the aliasing effect? The scofflaws are known, and thus oversampled, we pay for more cops per crook than clerks per trader.  Depending on technology, we get a trade space where the insurane company  is an equal, but minor partner.  They help whiten the  fixed bandwidth system. The three color system, seems to appear a lot.

No, we will not.  But none of us really know where this bozo country is, part of Africa?   Some idiot cattle rancher, clueless about geography, will have a value moment and decide, yes, Cleveland should take a nuclear hit for  Montenegro.

We are fucked, because this dimbshit montana senator has no geography brain, we will end up running up the deficit to protect Montenegro.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. --
The backer of an initiative to split California in three asked the state Supreme Court on Friday to dismiss a lawsuit trying to remove it from the November ballot.Venture capitalist Tim Draper wrote in a response to the court that there is not enough time to properly consider the legal challenge to his effort to divide the state.
Tim Draper is up against a California that want to secede.  The Csl Supremes are deliberately ruling to restrict federal rights, they are seeking a battle of secession.

I suggest Tim give them the battle, take this to US Court.  At least we will resolve the issue, either California will agree to US rights guarantees or will exit the union, once and for all.

Tim is better off knowing the future of Silicon Valley, one way or the other, then we can move forward.  We need resolution, I will take any result, as long as we get a result.

Run against Calizuela and Repubs win

Run against Obamacare, that always works.

Thus the Republicans could keep both houses, possibly.  Repubs should not mention guns or their desire to have schools shot to hell, keep quite about that.

Repubs still have momentum, namely, no one wants to pay for all the government crap that we purchased.  A winning issue every time.

Portland Oregon needs camptown

Even though it has always been kind of crazy, at one time Portland, Oregon was quite an attractive place to live, but now those days are long gone.  Today, the city streets are strewn with garbage, drug paraphernalia and human feces.  Mentally ill homeless people and drug addicts wander about like zombies, and there are certain areas of the city that you absolutely do not want to visit at night.  In essence, the city is slowly becoming a post-apocalyptic version of its former self, and those that love the city are seething with frustration.
Or else give them all a bus ticket to LA.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is casting aside concerns about the Federal Reserve’s independence and saying he’s “not happy” with the central bank’s interest rate increases.Trump tells CNBC: “I don’t like all of this work that we’re putting into the economy and then I see rates going up.”The Fed last month raised its policy rate for a second time this year and projected two more increases in 2018.Trump acknowledges his comments are likely to concern many people, given that the Fed is an independent regulator which asserts its separation from political pressure and the White House.
Notice he changed his tune from a strong dollar.   What he is hearing from the swamp is that the goodie tree is a bit bare with all those interest charges rising.

Where did Hillary get the right to interfere in Syria and Egypt?

Why didn't the FBI investigate how, exactly, Hillary got the authority to create a mass Middle East tragedy?  Europe is awfully lucky that Putin saved the day and the forced migration was stopped at 2 million instead of 20 million.  I can see why Putin has support in Europe.

Mexico interfered with our elections

The re-election of Jerry Brown was accompanied by two exchanges between Mexican politicians and California politicians, including a joint address to the state legislature by the president of Mexico.

Secret FBI agents read abut all this, as Jerry Brown made sure it was all printed up in the press.  When the FBI confronted Jerry about the interference, he denied that he publicly shook hands, listened to Mexico politicians.  Jerry denied that his trip to Mexico City occured, even though hundreds of reporters took public pictures.

And again, we have proof positive that Mexican residents of the USA get two votes, ne in Mexico and one here, double the votes that American citizens get.

Jerry Brown is a tool of Mexico, a puppet governor.

Bitcoin been telling a yuan story

Bitcoin Price Risks Pullback Before Testing $8K Again
Yuan dropping in value lately should have been proceeded by a rise in bitcoin prices.    The rise about a half point.   If all the currencies participated then a market cap of 100 to 300 billion is possible, the amount of ledger space needed to cover central bank arbitrage on average.

I have the open source method

Mastercard Patents a Method to Manage Cryptocurrency “Fractional Reserves”

Create the bitcoin price tracker, nearcoin.

Just loan 3% more nearcoins out than can be supported by the member accounts on blockchain, and those loses measured to a quarter point precision.

Then run the fair traded S&L loans to(like owning Tesla)   deposits matcher.  Add prequals for scofflaw traders.  At equilibrium it should be the case that folks carry no losses, except  for the quarter point error.

What is happening is that the carried ledger losses are hedged, that forces losses onto the pit boss.     Everyone would have shares in a currency bank with zero transaction costs and predictable, but small losses (like Tesla Stock) .  The nearcoinstill tracks close to bitcoin, but not perfect.

Scaredy pooh

California Supremes block measure to divide state in 3...

On what basis can citizen's redefine state boundaries?

“no new States shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State … without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.”

Says the paper.  Where does it say a State Court can impede the process, division is mentioned, it is a right.  The state legislature can explicitly  veto the idea, have they?

The state court tempts the  US Supremes. The referendum process is state guaranteed, and its denial, ex ante,  is a federal violation, sorry.  The vote should go forward, if the legislature disagrees, fine.

The division supporters would do well to pursue the rights angle at the federal court.  This is a long line of illegal intrusions into reserved rights, in California. This example, win or lose, will better sort things.

Approaching the government tax agent

Got a local appointment with the official negotiator for the US IRS, how about that!

Who is this person? I know of them, we have a major tax processing center here, and a lot of the  kids I grew up with worked there, others became tax attorneys.  More than likely the agent wishes he had another job, but the agent will figure out we are of the same breed, and resolve things efficiently.

I am in from the cold, with some cash.  It is a step for them, if done with low transactions costs, in and out.

What helps?
Smart, secure account card.  The IRS define the 'tax payer' profile, a process in which the taxpayer can anonymously allow government intrusion for a tax reduction.

So, everyone has this blank slate secure cash card, counterfeit proof.    The client chooses the level of tax involvement in trade decision, but the client always hits the government ledger sooner or later.

The IRS did this to me. I declared what I owed, no crime committed, then operated on a kind of cash swapnet slumlord, and chose (was eventually forced) to go declare myself to guv,  again.  And the IRS had the appropriate liens to force  a 'mark to ledger'.

Early trade press for mechanics

A web page has the art from the early 'Inventor Magazine', in Britain, starting 1823. We can see the rotary press broadcasting this magazine, thus anyone able to build an exact duplicate, of they had an order book. The order book came in the advertisements and in the printed catalogues. First blossomed the machine age, then the electrical age, then electrical and automotive. This pattern continued all the way up through broadcast. Any careful mechanic able to construct the machines described, or modify them.

Those neutrinos from the center of an almost quasar

Lot of talk, they spotted high energy neutrinos in the southern ice and notified the telescopes. We tracked an almost quasar thing.

Think of neutrinos as the energy released from an intense 'gluon' effect, that asymmetrical spectral gain forced by extreme compression.   I have that as a five color, unstable system decomposing into the three color quark system, neutrinos release the compaction energy.

Still a finite bandwidth sampled data (speed of light constant everywhere).   Under compression, these sinking protons cause sidelobes beyond the original two, captured by asymmetrical sampling, the lobes oversampled leading to spectral gain in the interior, the five color gluon.

A fun theory.

Standard pentagon doublespeak

As of recent, the world’s dominant military powers realize that the next battleground could be in Low Earth orbit (LEO). China, Russia, and the United States are all preparing for the possibility that a space war could be on the horizon, which has pushed the Pentagon into examining quantum computing as a crucial weapon for improved security for data storage and transmission on space-based military hardware.

This is the pentagon discovering they want a useful lab in Texas rather than the usual 'hire a dumb Texan' rule for the Space Warrior thing.  Fact is, the Space Warriors got one job, run camptowns on the border.

The idea of a quantum lab is great, however, what it has to do with a bunch of Texas welfare bums, I have no idea.

The idiots have to ask permission?

Trump's explosive comments with Putin reportedly angered his closest aides so much that Republicans were given permission to speak out
If ever you need another hint of Repub cowardice, here it is.  The problem is they know very little to begin with.

I skip the morality horse manure

He [Trumpster] treated the U.S. and Russia, again, as morally equivalent.

Nick Saffran at AEI trying to hold the moral high ground.  Putin leaves a few bodies around but that is no reason to blame the nation.

Russia got a southern port in the Crimea, they should get one.  Ukraine is as corrupt I dunno why we pick sides.

My biggest objection is that our peculiar sense of morality requires massive investment in defense, much of which gets written off.

My tribe

What Is the Tribe of the Anti-Tribalists?

My tribe would be the secessionists, break large governments into smaller pieces.  The last group of secessionists in California wanted a near communist government, horrid.  But they are secessionists and I cheer them on.

Like being for proportional democracy.  As long as it's proportional, the voters can screw themselves all they want, but will discover their error sooner.  The philosophy is not enough there to make a tribe, it is just the mechanics of government goods flow, efficient or not.  Efficiency defined by quick response by the voters.

One year yield jump

As the earth turns the one year treasury changes rates.  Our trade partners have a different term structure. Today it jumped almost 5 basis points even though it was stable for a week.  The  one to ten slope dropped to 47 basis points. We are  approaching a decider, let gu ru  uo the ten year and crash housing, or let the curve invert.

We want the money back

Trump promised $1.5 trillion in infrastructure spending. He’s 1 percent of the way there.

Nice to know Trump blew another 15 billion.  Now, shut everything down, reduce spending more and get the money back for interest charges.

The subtle boomer effect

Note that we get greater participation from the workers 24-54, the top line rising.  But overall, the participation rate is stable, bottom line.  Boomers are doing less of the work  The boomers who do less require more work from the others to make the pension payments. We are further complicated because a lot of that recent rise in young workers returning comes from government  spending, reliant on tax income, which is more negative as boomers retire.  We will likely see an unexpected rise in deficit spending, cause a sudden inversion.

We already got it

Republican Rep. Urges America: "Do Not Repeat The Nightmare Of Socialism"

Your party runs a deficit close to 5% of real NGDP.  Thus, about 5% of NGDP growth comes from government debt, meaning government should generate about 2.5% growth with that spending.  If this is equilibrium, then the private sector is generating about a half point of growth.  You will never see the deficit drop, not enough taxes with that weak growth.

There is no solution. The guv will continue to increase its mispricings via inflation adjustments and price fixings.  We walk farther away from any known equilibrium, unchartered territory.

My slumlording business, for example. Government owns the shared housing business, halfway houses.  Why compete?  Except for one thing, government has to provide housing because the current economy is squeezing the low end populace, tenants,  by channeling all the debt through government. But, like I say, government rates are three times the slumlord rates. They need the taxes, don't have them.

I prefered the original remarks

Trump claims he misspoke, walks back his explosive comments with Putin amid harsh blowback from allies and critics

Trumpster changing tune means millennials gonna spend more money on the bozos.

My interest charges on guv debt going up

After fishing through the irs phone net I can guess I be paying another 250 a month for a few years. The cost covered by dumping a few dysfunctional tenants, selling their shared housing.  That means the county going to house them, a net negative on guv overall.   County expenses going up as the swamp runs around scrounging interest payments.

Millennials are screwed, suggest they vote for less spending.

They don't know when

Treasury Yield Curve Is Heading for Inversion, Fund Managers Say

At this point the likely inversion would be sudden and a result of budgetary deals, non market, a repricing due to past imbalances.

Except I am customer 2,154 on the line

I am using the Comcast cable phone, and it hangs, like a land line, if I place it on the charger.  So here is the one time I hope Elon invented a good battery.

What I am doing, my actions in this transaction are being repeated millions of times for taxes, obamacare, housing and the rest; at every level of guv from county to swamp.

And we get a budget cut

Former CIA deputy director: Maybe US intel officials should resign en masse after Helsinki

Yes, let's quit paying these ignorants.

Dodging my back tax issue

My loyal readers know I am executing a pension stampede which involves selling two properties while the tax agents are after my ass.

One property was in my name, the other disguised using techniques unrevealed.  I sold the one in my name, and my tax liens were discovered.

The escrow company had to cancel the deal when the IRS liens were discovered. (These are personal liens not attached to the property). The seizure of the check by the IRS should be legal, they should have come by, picked up the check and let the sale go through.

The IRS could not grab the money, the Cal tax agents wanted some, they have no mechanism for a double negotiations with me.  So the sale reversed, the agents get squat, I continue to collect rent and screw the  guv.

Meanwhile, the second property is on the market and I have an offer.  Ther point is, money is less the issue then me avoiding a complex negotiations with two difference agencies, one state and one fed.  If I have the choice, I will delay and kick can.

I got taxed o a capital gain never received, paper only.  Stocks granted and taxed at current prices, but they were never sold for a gain, I suffered a slight loss.  Bad law.

Sacramento and the Swamp cannot mix well.  Neither write good law, given any choice, always choose not to get guv involved if you can avoid it.

The other point is that government is so inefficient that is sometimes just stops, like this case. The two tax agencies were not prepared, they cannot afford a complex negotiations of over a 50k tax bill from 20 years ago.  So government jams up and we are better off. So inefficient it become efficient.  The guv lawyers  in this case likely spent 200 grand.

Perfect thing to do

It’s not just that Trump trashed America’s intelligence community — it’s that he did so while getting very little from Putin

America's intelligence agency is an expensive pile of bureaucracy.  If we can get more and more patriotic Americans to disparage the rats and diminish their corruption, then more of us would be willing to cut their budget.  Then we would not have to go through a painful devaluation needed to avoid default on all the Repub debt.

This is one of those bozo things that internet nuts do.
'Oh, it has to have an internet interface!' Not, idiot software  engineers.  If you want to upgrade, send a chip, stupids, this is a voting machine, it has no  reason for connectivity. An actual person down loads the results, otherwise a bunch of idiot government agents should be fired.

California school tax increase just offset increased pension liability

The Verdict On Prop 30 — Part I

100% of schools’ share went to increased retirement spending.

Gas taxes, the same.  There is no discretionary spending power left. Local government is ineffective, mainly a pension game.

Immigration laws unconstitutional

They are a violation of the fourth, a right available to all those in the USA.  The longer Repub voters are ignorant of the law, the more Repub welfare bums we get.

Garcetti hearts camptown

Several dozen homeless people selected by outreach workers will move into a cluster of new trailers near downtown’s historic El Pueblo next month, the first step toward getting them into permanent housing.

For Mayor Eric Garcetti, the move-ins also mark a first step.
Garcetti has committed at least $20 million for more trailers, tents and other temporary shelters across the city. He’s rolling out the shelter program as he positions himself as a leader in the national Democratic Party, bringing more attention to his handling of the city’s homelessness crisis.
Success at the downtown site could tamp down the type of neighborhood opposition seen in Koreatown and Venice over proposed homeless shelters.

Bite the bullet.  Camptown is an efficient part of our internal devaluation.  Done right it can lower county support costs, and  counties are basically bankrupt around here.

Homelessness, slightly better

Homelessness still slight decreasing.  But you can bet they concentrate in California.

Nice work on the summit

Never mind what the Swampers say, they do not have our best interests in mind.

I heard the pipeline from Russia to Germany was approved. Good work.  If Trumpster keeps shaking up the world order, maybe some Swampers will leave and go do something useful.

Mexicans get at least double the vote

Fox News television host Tucker Carlson explained that the country that has had the greatest influence on the United States’ elections is actually Mexico for “packing our electorate” on The Five Monday night.
Like wealthy Chinese, Mexicans get two votes, one here and one back in their home country.  Unlike the wealthy Chinese, the local Mexicans have to pay local taxes, however.  The wealthy overseas chinese just buy a house for Grandma and the  kids,  and pay taxes back home, still double voting.

Rotary press

a complete rotary printing press was perfected in 1846,[3] and patented in 1847. It appeared in Edinburgh in 1851 and then traveled to London where it was used by the Times newspaper in 1853, where it then traveled to France in 1866 and Germany in 1873. By the time it reached Spain in 1885 it had become common use. [4]

My candidate for technology tipping point in the industrial age.  Just a reminder, it is sometimes not appreciated. Rotary press yields order book for mechanics. Now everyone uses standardized parts, the machine age becomes efficient.

Then comes the Fresno rental inspection

I missed this in the news, but our local city council caught a very low substandard slumlord.   How low a standard? Well very cheap rent, use that emoty house.  The alternative was the bushes for many of the tenants, but the city cut down their homes in the Oleanders, sent many to LA.

The side effect is increased inspections by city code enforcement union members.  There is a purge of slumlord, properties are gong on the market.  Many of the slum properties get rehabilitated for the upper income, an evolutionary effect.

So we see the disabled meth heads, who are the slumlord tenants, get shoved onto the streets, their neighborhood gone.

I am exiting by marketing one property as a half way house, the street has a few already.  A little conversion, and the county will pay the high rents for managing the moms or deranged kids or what have you, all the folks the city threw onto the street.

Meth kid, thrown in jail

Kid gets out, age 20, he is clean naturally.  He stayed that way, still is clean.  He knows he will have disabilities for a couple of years, but he can get by and he could recover.  But his support is one of the landlords, gave the kid a break and cheap illegal rent and checks up on him.

Slumlords, we put the homeless in the nearest safe, enclosed space. It is a lot better then Kanosian Skid Row in LA. We bridge the gap, government could help any of these souls without a cost four times slumlord rates.

The cops threw this kid in one of the better jails, nearby.  It works because they cannot repeat the same behavior over and over, meth is difficult to bring in. Like camptown, put them into an environment where the old behavior does not work, even for a few weekends a month.  They are not drug addicts, they are just like those couples in England.

Evicting the methhead

The landlord knows the tenant is home, smoking pipe with friends, and actually has removed any other behaviors.  Their brains are wired to repeat the last pipe party.  They are disconnected from emotions like anxiety about where they go once evicted.  They simply hang in until the sheriff moves them to the curb, and they cry and sob.

Meth is not a recreational drug, it sneaks into the recreational drug scene because parents and politicians are ignorant and frightened.  I could describe the chemistry, show and explain the brain scans, talk about the endocrine system, its necessity and its failure under meth.  It is strictly a military nerve agent, always was and always will be.  For local parents and community leaders to allow this stuff is pure idiocy, suicide. These kids go to parties where it is OK, in the bedroom, to smoke it.  Like telling kids that carrying around Russian Nerve dust is OK, nearly the same thing.

Tell us the truth in Fresno, Calizuela, these kids are dying, the meth militia have them killed within a few high school parties.

Housing market weaker

The impact of high property values and rising mortgage rates that shut some buyers out of the spring real estate market is starting to show up in the quarterly results of some of the nation's banks. Wells Fargo & Company (WFC), JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), Citigroup Inc. (C) and The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (PNC) all reported second quarter results showing signs of weakness in mortgage originations.
We saw an earlier report a month ago about new housing weakness and this has moved up to the banks.

US Housing Bubble Enters Stage Two: Suddenly-Motivated Sellers
We all know the system is bankrupt, the boomers want to get behind their gated condos, and soon, to escape the attack of the union taxes.

Bush and Trump, two major debt catastrophes.  If, just by chance, the millennials might get a tiny clue then we get a bit of structural change.   Are the  millennials permanently despondent, drugged, uneducated, fooled into more debt? Let us see.

Stocks and bonds both down a bit today, treasury rates again hitting their bounds. With the ten year at 2.86, I doubt Congress can assemble a realistic budget in August. Congress, the Repubs, and Treasury might shift a bunch of short term debt to the ten year, causing the housing market to crash.  The Repub Congress is fried, they have borrowed themselves into a cul-de-sac.

Some new government jobs

New San Francisco Mayor: "There's More Feces... Than I've Ever Seen"

Shit cleaner, pension pays well.

Hopefully save us a bunch of defense spending

“Disastrous,” was how the Financial Times yesterday described Donald Trump’s visit to Europe. Were you to extend Trump’s influence indefinitely into the future, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the bedrock of US foreign policy for the past seventy years, would be finished.
But the Trumpster likes debt and we won't see any savings.

The idea is to have an official and sanctioned place for companies to register their bots securely. As the organization describes it, “BotChain offers bot developers, enterprises, software companies, and system integrators the critical systems, standards, and means to validate, certify, and manage the millions of bots and billions of transactions powered by AI.
The company was created by the team at Talla,  a bot startup in Cambridge, but the goal is to open this up to much larger community of partners and expand. In fact, early partners include Gupshup, a platform for developers and Howdy.ai, B2B enterprise bot developers along with Polly, CareerLark, Disco (formerly Growbot), Zoom.ai, and Botkeeper.

For bot chaun of a particular language, one would like to secure the interpreter also.
