What moral obligation?

Intervening is a moral obligation for the United States — a moral obligation we've all too often ignored in similar cases in the past, with disastrous consequences. This time we need to get it right. It's time for President Obama to lead. James Fly

Where did that moral obligation come from? He just declared it, he must be a God. Perhaps that moral obligation comes from the fact that he was part of the Bush administration, and invaded Iraq? Or because he and Bush ran up a huge deficit, cutting taxes while charging the middle class for the Iraq war? Or because Mr. Fly is part of the Great Exogenous, the anti-democratic elite? Or maybe Mr. Fly is part of some psychotic religious group?

Mr. Fly never explained the source of this moral obligation.
